Daily devotion – another day in the kingdom of God
…..Stand fast in the faith….1 Corinthians 16:13
My heart is constantly overwhelmed with the grace mercy and love of God that He bestows upon us. I thank God so much for Him giving me Helen as my wife and sister in Christ.
The goodness and wonder of God continually staggers me and the joy of being part of His family each day brings us into the very kingdom of God and His service.
We received just recently a prayer request, one of the many we receive from the saints here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour and the storms and trials they face.
God is always busy amongst us, and His presence is seen over and over.
I exhort you to take a determined step to pause and reflect on where God would have you serve at this moment in your life. There is a vast world of need, of struggles, of cries for help all around us as followers of Christ.
Mother’s Day is approaching this Sunday and the text at the beginning of today’s devotion is one for all of us but especially for mothers. Your husband, your children, God has placed you in their lives so that you might stand fast in the faith…..and strengthen them and walk with them in the constant battles and struggles they each will face.
A young Mary, when told of being the mother of the Messiah Jesus, responded only as a mother does, even though she was in her early teens….. “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your Word.”
Let each of us from today, be in the Word of God so that we may know Him even more. Let us pray without ceasing and let us serve Him with every ounce of effort we can muster.
This is our calling and this is where God desires to use us for His glory!
