This Week at Calvary – With the winter rains settled in, it’s a perfect time to gather here in the warmth of CCSH and sit under God’s Word. Currently we are studying, Colossians, 2 Samuel, the Book of Acts and Galatians. We encourage you to be reading ahead in each book to ensure you are keeping abreast of where we are at in each session. Send an e-mail or SMS to friends and family to log into our YouTube channel. It’s a great way of outreach to unsaved loved one’s. Next Sunday, the first Sunday in July, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper together. Are your children ready to graduate from Sunday school? Remember our aim here at CCSH is to have your children, with Bible and notebook in hand, sitting alongside you in the main sanctuary. Sunday school is primarily designed for our youngest children to be able to be taught at a level, appropriate for their age and those not yet ready to sit without disturbing others. Calvary Women – this Tuesday you are invited to gather with other women from CCSH, who are seeking to grow in God’s Word and also be an encouragement to other women in these most difficult times.
From the Pastors Desk In Saturday’s news, there were reports of serious military unrest in Moscow with the Kremlin ordering the arrest of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner Group military company (mercenaries used by Russia). The owner of the Wagner private military has directly challenged the Kremlin, since Russia’s defence minister Sergei Shoigu ordered a rocket strike on Wagner’s men in Ukraine. 1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. You and I need to be ready for Christ’s return as events in our world can change so quickly. China and Taiwan could go to war at any moment. Iran, the very real enemy of Israel announced this last week that they now have a new hypersonic missile that travels at ‘15 times’ the speed of sound. Who do you think is their target? Will Israel carry out a pre-emptive strike? Christ’s soon return is so close!

Inspire faith, not fear, and go ahead and smile at the future for we know our loving Father and Creator of all things is in perfect and total control!
