Daily devotion – patience

Pastor Keith   -

Ecc 7:8 The end of a thing is better than its beginning; The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
1Th 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.

How patient was God with you before you came to know Him as your Lord and Saviour?

Often, we become the very opposite with family and friends we are sharing the Gospel with and we may begin to lose hope.

I have learnt that God is never in a hurry, He always does everything at the perfect time – Ecc 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

Be patient with your loved ones and continue in prayer for them to receive Christ. Don’t give up on them or God, to bring them into His kingdom!

Remember again how patient God was with you….and still is!

How patient was Jesus with the Apostle Paul when he was Saul?

Live your life for Christ so that those who do not know the Lord can see Him clearly in you.

Remember also, it’s a marathon, and not a sprint that we are running.
