Ushers, next week and the following week, please meet with Thomas Woodage for a quick catch-up meeting after the morning service – Classroom # 1. We celebrate holy communion together this morning as the body of Christ. Operation Christmas Child time again is with us. Helen’s Heart – Children are a gift from God: They are His reward…Psalm 127:3 It is a struggle for women of today to balance the home, caring for their family, and work. It is not easy, but as we make our homes and raising God’s children our priority things seem to fall into place. Every material goal will pass away but the heritage (blessing) of children is ageless. God blesses the home of the just.
The Praying Church
You are invited to pray alongside others in the prayer team each Sunday morning at 9:45am in classroom #1, but especially with the Church here at CCSH Wednesday evenings at 7:00PM. 1Pe 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober and watch unto prayer.
From the Pastors Desk They even sacrificed their own sons and daughters in the fire. They consulted fortune-tellers and practiced sorcery and sold themselves to evil, arousing the LORD’s anger 2 Kings 17:17 Our world and its laws continue to reveal a growing distancing from the Word of God. This week we learnt that young girls under the age of 16 will be able to have an abortion without their parents’ consent. Yet a 16-year-old is deemed too young to drive. Too young to vote and even too young to legally drink alcohol. It is also against the law for anyone to sell or give cigarettes or e-cigarettes to you if you are under 18 years old. But to have an abortion – no problems, its legal! Such things as this should be a constant reminder to Christian parents that the raising of your children according to the Word of God is your most important task today. You can ill afford to sit idly by and not teach the Bible or live the Bible out in front of your children. Things have never been so serious to the complete dissection of the family unit being a place where Christ is the Head. Dads and mums, you must take the initiative, you must ensure that your life is an example for your children to follow in your devotion and love for God. The world is coming for your children, but remember Christ is coming for His Church. Isa 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Short Sayings –
“God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, broken bread to give strength. It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth perfume. It is Peter, weeping bitterly, who returns to greater power than ever.” ― Vance Havner

Just 158 days until you are walking in the footsteps of Jesus. It’s still not too late to join with us on the trip of a lifetime. This trip will grow your faith and Bible knowledge incredibly. The Bible will never the same to you after this. This may be our last opportunity to be in the Holy Land. See Noah Carmody for further information.
