This Week at Calvary Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour this morning. We’re delighted to have some of our younger members graduating from Sunday school and joining us in the main sanctuary. Looking ahead, next Sunday is Father’s Day, and we have a special Father’s Day message prepared. Please note that there won’t be a Sunday evening service on that day, allowing families more time to gather and celebrate with fathers and grandfathers. Our recent BBQ night brought the men of Calvary together for a wonderful evening of fellowship. We eagerly anticipate God’s work through the men of our congregation as they provide leadership and guidance to His Church, especially in these Last Days. For those who would like to receive a daily devotion from CCSH, you can visit our website and follow the provided links. With Christmas only 18 Sundays away, let’s be mindful of the approaching holy season. If you need prayer, our pastors and elders are available at the end of this service. If you’re considering becoming a Christian, we’re here to support you in prayer, provide you with a Bible, and help guide you in your initial steps as a new believer. Next Sunday, we’ll come together for Holy Communion—a precious time of remembering our Lord Jesus. As we prepare for this, let’s ready our hearts for this privileged sacrament. Throughout the week, we encourage you to mark your calendar for our various services, including tonight’s and Wednesday evening’s gatherings. Parents, please consider involving your children in either Calvary Kids or Calvary Youth, depending on their age. From the Pastors Desk Matthew 16:18 I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. After more than 42 years of pastoring, Helen and I remain dedicated to seeking God’s wisdom every week. We ask Him to illuminate His Word for us and grant us the insight to share it effectively. The battle doesn’t cease; the enemy persists. However, throughout the years, we’ve witnessed God’s hand at work, nurturing growth in individuals, moulding them to reflect more of Christ. Having taught through the Bible multiple times, we find ourselves in the Last Days, with the imminent return of Christ for His Church. Our experiences bear witness to both scars and victories. While the spiritual warfare remains constant, the culmination of the ultimate triumph draws near. When we stand before our Lord, our hearts won’t be filled with questions, but with gratitude. The privilege to serve the God of Heaven, to follow Jesus Christ who sacrificed on the cruel cross of Calvary, humbles us and instils everlasting thankfulness. To the people of CCSH, your prayers, servanthood, and faithfulness to His Church here in Secret Harbour are truly remarkable. We continue to pray for God’s blessings and guidance upon this Church until His return. Amen!
