This Week at Calvary
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour. If you are visiting for the first time, please make yourself known to one of our ushers so that one of our pastors can meet with you today Time is closing for your Operation Christmas Child Box to be brought in. Please ensure that you get them in time so that your gift is not left behind the shipping overseas. Calvary Men – we need some additional men to fill the very important task of Ushering during our services. Please give you name and details to one of our Elders, Thomas Woodage or fill in a Connection Card so you can be added to this team of men serving here at CCSH. Calvary Youth and Calvary Kids are both on break now for the school holidays and will be back week 1 of term 4. Parents don’t forget your children love to be able to give personally in Sunday school. Be sure to help them develop this blessed attitude of being a gracious giver. Tonight, Pastor Marlon begins a fantastic new series in 1 John. A book that speaks with great clarity on many grey areas of Christianity. Don’t miss this study – 6:00pm tonight!

The Praying Church
It’s time for you to be part of the powerful prayer team here at CCSH Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings at 7:00PM. Don’t miss out on helping the Body of Christ here at CCSH, in the most powerful way you can! 1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing

From the Pastors Desk. Act 6:3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. A problem arose in the early Church needing some people to fix it. The distribution of bread for those widows the Church was helping to care for. The disciples needed to stick to their task of studying God’s Word and prayer, so they asked for 7 men to be selected to ‘fix the problem’. Seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom. But also, they needed to be men who would be faithful in serving in this task otherwise the problem could grow and become an even greater issue. Would the disciples or the Church have picked you? Would you be one of the seven men? Would you be available? Would you answer the call and fix the problem? The Church is continually looking for and needing men to fill positions that enable the Church to be what Christ intended it to be. There is never a call or command for us to watch, or to spectate. Remember we are all saved to serve. This week change for watching on and put on a towel like our Lord did the night He was betrayed, and grab a bowl. There is always a need and feet for you to wash!

Short Sayings “It is the whole job of the whole church to preach the whole gospel to the whole world.” – Charles Spurgeon

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji
We can’t all jump on a plane and lend a hand in Fiji, but we can send our prayers to the Pacific Island and we can pray and ask God’s blessing and power fall upon this tiny work. This week, in your prayer life, head to Fiji and make a difference. Take your family with you as well!

Helen’s Heart Children come and listen to me and I will teach you to worship the Lord – Psalm 34:11 What feeling is so nice as a child’s hand in yours? It reflects trust, strength, and guidance. Parents (and grandparents) you have been given custody of teaching your children right from wrong, respect for others, coping with pressures and fears in a world less than whole. Such a charge to nurture hope for their future that God has made! They need your strength to lean on and example to learn from. God has not left you alone in this responsibility. He who made your children will hear your petitions. He will sustain you and give you wisdom in this awesome task.
