This Week at Calvary
On this special day, we pray the Lord’s blessing for all the fathers – Happy Father’s Day. Calvary Ladies, please take note that your next Tuesday Bible Study and fellowship will be on the 12th of September. Due to Father’s Day, there will be no evening service tonight. Do you have a desire to serve the Lord and the church community, we have serving positions available that can be a source of blessing for both you and the body of Christ. Feel free to fill out a Connection Card, which you can find at our information booth, and drop it in our offering box with your details. We’re excited to share that we have received the latest concept plans for our new building extension. Please join us in prayer, asking for God’s wisdom and guidance as we move forward with this project. If you are in need of prayer, remember that our pastors and elders are available to pray with and for you right after the morning service.
The Praying Church It’s time for you to be part of the powerful prayer team here at CCSH Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings at 7:00PM. Don’t miss out on helping the Body of Christ here at CCSH, in the most powerful way you can! 1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing
From the Pastors Desk A Father’s Day evaluation check list: Do I criticize my children, or build them up? Am I impatient and irritable or patient and self-controlled when dealing with my kids? Am I consistent in my expectations of them? Have I kept my promises to them? Do I show favouritism? Am I tender with both my sons and my daughters? Do I share in the discipline? Am I spending time with my kids, as a family and individually? The angel Gabriel when he announced that part of John the Baptists mission was in making a people ready for the Lord was to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children – Luke 1:7 When a man truly gives his heart to Christ, it is turned toward his children!

Prayer for all the Dad’s
“Lord, I pray a prayer of blessing over my dad today. I honour him as a wonderful man of God and ask that you will bless him immensely. It is not easy being a strong, loving father in today’s culture, and I ask that you equip him with everything he needs to carry out his role as a father with your grace and favour. Bless him to enjoy his life and the fruit of his labour, and bless him to live a long, joy-filled life on this earth. Amen.”
Israel Tour Group Just 130 days until we will be worshipping in the Holy Land of Israel.
Grace Giving We encourage all of those who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities. Located on the eastern side of the sanctuary is a container for your grace giving – or you may wish to give electronically via the CCSH account – 2490144 – BSB – 306089
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji
Nasinu (Fijian pronunciation: [Nasinu]) is an urban area on the island Viti Levu in Fiji. It is officially designated a “Town” (and was formally incorporated as such in 1999) despite having a population larger than Suva City (92,043 at the 2017 Census).[citation needed] Nasinu is the most populous municipality in Fiji, having overtaken that of Suva (the capital), and is one of Fiji’s fastest-growing towns. Please pray for Ps Charles and CC Nasinu as they teach God’s Word systematically to the people of Fiji.
Helen’s Heart – We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD, about his power and his mighty wonders. Ps 78:4. The best gift we can give our children is love. The pure and unselfish love that comes from our Heavenly Father – the love of wanting the best for them. It means meeting physical needs but more importantly enriching their minds and spirit. To bring to the child’s mind the delight of knowing God and lovingly teaching, guiding, and giving them confidence. To pursue all that God wants them to be. The way to meet this tall order is to example it as Marian Edgerman puts it, “God help me to be honest, so my children learn honesty. God help us to be kind, so my children learn kindness. God help me to be faithful, so my children learn faith. God help me to love, so my children will be loving.” Parents, continue earnestly in this high calling – Helen.
