This Week Today, alongside our regular bulletin, we have a Middle East Fact Sheet available for you. It aims to provide further background on the ongoing war in Israel. You can find them at the information desk. Additionally, we will be showing a short video clip illustrating the situation in Israel. Following that, we will have a special time of prayer for the people and nation of Israel.
Please make a note in your calendar for our special Thanksgiving Sunday service on the 19th of November. It’s a dedicated time to express gratitude to the Lord for answered prayers and the miracles He has done in our lives!
To the Calvary Ladies, this Tuesday at 9:30 am here at the Chapel, we invite you to join for a time of studying God’s Word, prayer, and encouragement. It’s an opportunity for women of God to edify one another as we navigate through these Last Days.
The Praying Church We are living in the Last Days – our most powerful weapon is prayer. Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings at 7:00PM. Be a prayer soldier with the Body of Christ here at CCSH, in the most powerful way you can! 1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing
From the Pastors Desk. Things can change quickly, can’t they? One moment we are planning to be in Israel, then war breaks out. We have decisions to make, and we need God’s wisdom what to do. Life is like that, a sudden accident, a phone call, things that we have no control of land upon us like a giant rogue wave. When this happens to people who don’t know the Lord, it’s time to panic. But when such things happen to believers, we know we are to stay calm. God is in control, and we need to be patient and wait on Him, seek comfort from Him and trust Him to see us through. We are heading into one of the most traumatic times of the year for many families and individuals – Christmas. A time that is set aside to celebrate the birth of Christ, but somehow in many people’s lives, it becomes a time of upheaval and emotional trauma. No matter whether its war in Israel, a phone call from the doctor, or family strains at Christmas, the battle plan remain the same. Look to God in trust and seek His wisdom on decisions needing to be made. Let the peace of God rule your heart and mind by praying and giving Him all your anxiousness and problems. Let us remember God desires to help us, to guide us and to comfort us as He is our Heavenly Father – Phil 4:6.
Quote of the week – “No man is greater than his prayer life.” – Leonard Ravenhill.
Israel Tour Group Could all who are booked to travel to Israel in January please meet in classroom #1 after the morning service to discuss the recent events in Israel and its impact on our proposed tour.
Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities.
