Daily devotion – distractions of the enemy

But what does the Lord say on the matter!
Isa 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isa 5:25 Therefore, the anger of the LORD is aroused against His people;
It is difficult to read and watch the news as it continues to reveal the evil that is being revealed in people and their hatred towards Israel. Talking to some men after last Sunday morning’s service, they too found that they were having the same feelings of anger as a result of the many lies being thrown out as truths in media.
As I went to the Lord in prayer over this matter I am so thankful that God ministers to us in such difficult times when the doors of evil seem to be opening wider and wider to a gullible rebellious world. I was reminded that God can take care of Himself. That whilst we can have righteous anger, we must use this passion that rises in us to be on our knees and bring our anger to the Lord.
The Lord would remind us once again that Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. – Romans 12:9
I need to take a step back, look up and look ahead and not be distracted by the constant lies of the enemy. Satan would have us step away from the ministry God has called us to and become ineffective by chasing the constant fires of lies he is throwing up here and there.
Let’s keep preaching the Gospel of grace whilst the door is still open.
Judgment day will come to all those who come against Israel and for those who reject the Lord. Until then, let us be diligent to about the Lord’s business until He comes!
