This Week at Calvary – This morning, for all those who have received Christ as their Lord and Saviour, we will be sharing in the Lord’s Supper – Holy Communion. Time to email and SMS all those you are inviting to join with you at Church for our Christmas Eve Sunday services. Send out as many invitations as you can and invite everyone to join you. Your invitation could change their eternal lives. The ladies of Calvary had a blessed time Friday night and a big thank you to all those who laboured for the evening to be a joy to all who attended! Don’t miss next years! Starting this Friday, CCSH will be at four school graduations giving out a wonderful gift to selected students. CCSH has been doing so since there was only one school in the entire community. We pray that all who consider Calvary to be their spiritual home, to enjoy the privilege of serving in some capacity no matter your skills or age. From the Pastors Desk Christmas 2023 and a defining moment for Australia is approaching, Christmas 2023. It is evident that our nation, Australia, is facing unprecedented internal pressure from pro-Palestinian and Islamic radicals. There is a concerted effort to subvert and erase the joy of Christmas from our national identity. The events since October 7, when Hamas terrorists perpetrated heinous acts against Israelis during Yon Kippur, have dramatically shifted the global landscape. As we stand on the brink of 2024, it is crucial to recognize the signs of the times. The words of Jesus in Luke 21:28 resonate with newfound significance: “Look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
Simultaneously, the urgency is echoed in the words of the author of Hebrews in Heb 10:25: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” In the coming year, 2024, there will be a further falling away from the Church as God continues to sift His Church, separating those who were never truly a part of it. In the midst of these challenging times, it’s essential to ask yourself: Where will you stand? What direction will your family take? It is time to adopt the resolve of Joshua and make a clear and resounding stand. Let your declaration echo his words in Joshua 24:15 – “But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Join us for a special New Year’s prophecy update on Sunday, January 7, 2024. The times are urgent, and it’s crucial to be anchored in faith and purpose as we navigate the days ahead.
