Christmas Eve Sunday Service schedule:
Sun 10:00am and Sun 6:00pm services
The Calvary Young Adults Group meets this coming Friday at 7:00pm at Chris & Myosha’s residence – don’t miss this great evening together in fellowship before Christmas. If you are looking to serve at our Christmas Eve service, please put forward your details to Thomas Woodage, and we can include you in our servant team for that evening. Our aim is to be a Church that gives prayer its rightful position as a congregation. We encourage you to gather here Wednesday, with other prayer saints, as we pray for God’s blessing for all the families here at CCSH.
From the Pastors Desk The wonder of Christmas always takes me back to my childhood. Our present youth and younger children of our nation are being starved of the wonder of the Child born in a manger. As I read the Gospels, I see Jesus spent a great deal of time relating to the children who followed Him and were drawn to Him. At times, He would place them on His knee, and exhort His disciples to have hearts of faith like a child. If you have children of your own or come in contact with any little ones, will you speak seriously and carefully to them of the Child born in a manger in Bethlehem? His story never grows old even though we celebrate it every year. Let us make time to teach our smallest saints the wonder and joy of the birth of our Saviour Jesus and why He came to be born in a stable in Bethlehem. It’s their Gospel too, and it’s our responsibility to fill these little innocent hearts with Jesus – their Saviour! Mat 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. When I read or listen to His story, I am like that small child once again, filled with awe, wonder, hope and comfort. For that little Child in the manger is my Lord, He is my Saviour – let us give the little ones the chance for Him to be theirs too!
Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities. Located on the eastern side of the sanctuary is a container for your grace giving – With the Commonwealth Bank

Operation Christmas Child– Kojo received a shoebox in Ghana West Africa, when he was 12 years old. He writes, “My family of 9 shared a one room clay house. We had little money or food. My mum worked in the local high school cafeteria and fed us with leftover rice and peanut soup. My dad worked in a sugar cane field. They loved us very much. I walked 2 miles to school each day. During my long walks I prayed and sang. l am grateful for the challenges I faced as a child. The day I received my shoe box I ran home to show my family. Inside was a yo-yo, a toy car and some pencils – made in the United States – I felt so proud that someone in America loved me. God used my shoebox to plant a seed in me. I started going to Church every Wednesday and Sunday. I wanted to sleep in Church! The shoebox gave me all that I need and that’s the Lord Jesus! That little yo-yo, those pencils, and that toy car brought me to Christ. It reminds me of when King David asks, “Who am I…that you have brought me thus far?” 2 Sam 7:18. My plan is to be a pharmacist in order to contribute to God’s mission in the world.”
