Daily devotion – Christmas Day and God’s Blessings!

Pastor Keith   -

Deut 6: 7 – “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

Merry Christmas, to you all from all of us here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour. We pray that today in your house the Christmas story in the Bible is being read. That before you and your family sit down to eat, there is prayer and thanksgiving for the food prepared, and a blessing for all those who have worked hard in making it available.

Those of you who are missing a loved one at this time of the year, may God’s grace and His peace comfort you and be with you and your family.

As the children are given their gifts, let them know that all of this is due to the blessing of the Lord – James 1:17 – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

We face a New Year coming, 2024, and only God knows what each of us has waiting for us in this coming year. But thankfully, God has gone before us and we are safe in His care no matter what awaits.

We will not be gathering Sunday Evening – New Years Eve, but just the morning service at 10:00am.

I will be giving a special prophecy update on Sunday 31st December 10:00am as we launch into 2024.

In the New Year we will begin a new study in the book of beginnings, the book of Genesis. This is such an important and needed study in the time in which we live these Last Days. For it is in the book of Genesis that we get the foundational truths so important to understanding and interpreting the rest of the Bible. We get the right bearings to understanding the rest of God’s Word correctly.

Christmas Day, in spite of all the busyness of the day is one of the days I look forward to my time of reading God’s Word.

As we celebrate Christ’s birth and all He has done for us. We close off a year with all its trials, victories and growing, and look forward to a New Year of God teaching us, using us and our knowledge of His greatness increasing even more.

But also, we are another whole year closer to His coming!

The Lord’s blessing upon you all!
