This week at Calvary – This morning we will be celebrating a double baby dedication which is a beautiful lead up to Christmas. Baptism time – the weather is beautiful, and the water temperature is amazing. All perfect for us to have a time of baptism here at Secret Harbour. If you or your child has not been baptised and you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, at our information desk is a Baptism sign-up sheet to be part of this blessed sacrament. Besides inviting family and friends to join with you next Sunday morning and evening for Christmas Eve services, don’t forget to email or text them with the details of how to watch the services live on our YouTube channel. Especially for those who live away or overseas. See Noah Carmody for the YouTube information if you are unsure or simply go to our website ccsh.com.au Be sure to include the service times in your correspondence. If you are able to assist in serving Christmas Eve, please see our Ushers or Thomas Woodage and with your details.

From the Pastors Desk Just one week until Christmas. When the Church of Jesus Christ gathers world-wide to celebrate His birth, the Son of God in a little town called Bethlehem. His coming would divide the world into two. Those who would receive Him and those who would reject Him. Mat 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother-in-law. The Christmas Child, born King of the Jews, will again divide homes this Christmas Season. Some will acknowledge His birth and coming, whilst others will make no room or mention of Him at all. Jesus birth divided people that first Christmas and in 2023, His birth will divide them once again. For those of us who have made room for Jesus in our lives, Christmas is filled with our understanding of His great love for each of us. Therefore, let us rejoice in this precious gift of God’s Son with thanksgiving. Let us be enamoured this season with the joy and glory of Christmas so that our Heavenly Father is worshipped and honoured by each one of us today who call Him Saviour.

Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities. Located on the eastern side of the sanctuary is a container for your grace giving – With the Commonwealth Bank Account name – Calvary Chapel Church Secret Harbour Incorporated – Account – 10891970 – BSB – 066-516.

Pray for the one-week outreach – 26th- 29th December, our Christmas service on Christmas Eve. New Year’s

7 – days til Christmas eve..

“If the birth of Jesus was so gladsome to our cousins the angels, what should it be to us? If it made our neighbors sing who had comparatively so small a share in it, how should it make us leap for joy? Oh, if it brought heaven down to earth, should not our songs go up to heaven? If heaven’s gate of pearl was set open at its widest, and a stream of shining one’s came running downward to the lower skies, to anticipate the time when they shall all descend in solemn pomp at the glorious advent of the great King; if it emptied heaven for a while to make earth so glad, ought not our thoughts and praises and all our loves to go pouring up to the eternal gate, leaving earth a while that we may crowd heaven with the songs of mortal men?”

— Charles Spurgeon
