Daily devotion – All powerful!
2 Tim 3: 1 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
As a pastor living in the Last Days, there is a constant sense of caution with each new day as we see our world unravel as the Bible predicted.
Always on the alert, never not on watch and interceding continuously for the Church for God to protect and keep it safe.
But at times our emotions override our faith, and we succumb to a burden that is more from the enemies weight than elsewhere. During one such period a couple of weeks back when this sense of being ‘over concerned’ instead of trusting, the Lord spoke to my heart.
It was the closest that I have sensed for some time the very real ‘voice of God’ in almost an audible communication.
His words were loud clear and firm, strong in their delivery. To tell me that He is in absolute control and there was nothing at all that He did not have power or control over. Nothing to fear! Nothing!
1Jo 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
There are times in our lives when our humanity overrides our spirituality, and we succumb to fear. God does not want us to live in fear or consternation at all – ever!
If you have found yourself walking through a dark valley, shrouded by a cloak of uncertainty, know that God is invincible!
He is the omnipotent One, that is He is ALL powerful!
So this new week rest in His grace with a sureness that no matter what comes over the horizon, Jesus is the boat, in the storm with us and He is not fussed.
His Words calm every storm, His authority ceases every wind, His power quells all waves of opposition. Rest in Him and be safe!
Psa 84:3 Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow builds her nest and raises her young at a place near your altar, O LORD of Heaven’s Armies, my King and my God!
