HE IS RISEN

31st March , 2024
www.ccsh.com.au

During the forty days after his crucifixion, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God. Acts 1:3

This week at Calvary He is Risen – Jesus is Alive! Today we gather as Christ’s Church to worship, celebrate and to give thanks for Christ’s atoning death on Calvary’s Cross for each of us. If you are visiting today and would like to  personally know Jesus Christ, please see one of the pastors after the service at the front of the sanctuary. Let us rejoice together around the Lord’s Table of Thanksgiving and let us do as He asked us, “Remember Me each time you do this!” Tonight, there is no Sunday evening service! If you would like prayer, the pastors and elders will be available to pray with you at the end of the message. We ask this morning especially that once the teaching has begun that you or your children do not leave their seats. We seek not to distract others in this precious time of teaching through God’s Word. Should you have to leave your seat, the Ushers will redirect you to a seat at the back of the sanctuary so not to be a distraction by your returning. Please work with them on this matter – thank you. Wednesday evening we are back in Genesis and gathering also as Christ’s body to prayer here at the chapel from 7:00pm. You can follow us on our YouTube channel, Twitter, and Facebook. Also, you can receive our daily devotion from Pastor Keith by connecting to our website – ccsh.com.au – and follow the links.

From the Pastors Desk
Easter Sunday morning is when the Church during Passion Week comes together to celebrate Christ’s atoning death and His wondrous Resurrection from the dead. The Apostle Paul said, 1Co 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Every time we have travelled to Israel, I have stepped inside the empty tomb believed to be the place where Christ’s dead body was laid. Each time I have stepped into this tomb carved out of solid rock is has been empty. Christ did rise from the dead and because of this, every word that He spoke, every commandment and promise He has given, we can guarantee to be truthful and able to be trusted. It is Christ’s Resurrection that separates every other false religion from the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Will you this morning now live in this truth? It is time in these Last Days before Christ’s return, which He promised He would, to get our lives right with God. No excuses, no time wasting, no being indifferent, no putting it off till another time, today the Bible says is the day of salvation!

“Bula and greetings in the of our risen Saviour.
It’s been so challenging for the past few months. I have been through difficult times through health issues, family as well, that really affect the ministry, but praise God that I’m well now. I really felt that I have been under attack, but we praise God for your prayers that enable us to continue do His will – CHURCH MINISTRY. It’s such a blessing to see the growth of the church here in terms of living for God and the way the members are committing to the work of the Lord. I have been teaching on assurance of salvation and some basic Bible doctrine since most of our members came from other denominations.” – Pastor Charles

Helen’s Heart
Blessed are these who have not seen and yet have believed – John 20:24 When Thomas was tested by Jesus to put his hands in Jesus’ side and the holes in His hands he had evidence he needed to declare this truly was the Son of God. Jesus us the Resurrected One, who has broken the power and sting of death. Jesus has broken every power that imprisons us, defeats us. Sickness, heartache, troubles, fear not even death will ever again separate us from His love. Believe and welcome the blessing of peace from the Risen One!

Billy Graham Quote –
We worship a risen, living Savior, who has promised to give immortality to all who believe on His Name. No longer do men and women need to stumble in the fog and the darkness of hopelessness. A Light shines brighter than the noonday sun, offering hope to everyone who has been born again. Jesus promised, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die” (John 11:25-26)
