This week at Calvary –
Today we gather around the Lord’s table to remember Christ’s precious sacrifice He gave so that so that we might saved! Parents, we leave with you the extent of your child’s participation in this sacrament. Remembering that one must have a faith relationship with Christ to take part in Communion. Read (1 Corinthians 11). Calvary men don’t forget to put aside March 15th Friday, for a special men’s night here at the Church. A QR code sign up is available at the Information Desk. This coming Good Friday evening – Ministry servants are needed for our Children’s Program – we require 4 adult and junior volunteers. See Pastor Nathanael for further information. A Ministry position to be filled – for the Calvary Youth – we are looking for a man or men who can roster on as Adult Security when Calvary Youth gather every second fortnight. See Noah Carmody for details and times please.
From the Pastors Desk I wrote earlier this week in one of my daily devotions about our ministry responsibilities once we come to Christ, for we are not saved simply for us to sit and wait for Christ’s return. No, Jesus has commanded each Christian to Go into the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15. Every believer who counts CCSH as their home Church knows someone struggling, in pain, hurting, lost, or living in despair of every age. We live in a broken world laden with human wreckage. Please do not bury the ministry of helping such people in the ground or leave it untouched! To be able to help someone and not do so is a sad way to live, and it is not how a Christian is commanded to live according to God’s Word. Day after day, week after week, each of us comes face to face with heartache. Be like Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, who, at every chance he could, told people about Jesus Christ and brought them to meet Him. Make your life count, not just for our own selfish desires. Step out this week by faith and be led by the Holy Spirit to bring hope to a lost soul. This is our mission!
