This week at Calvary
We have the privilege of celebrating Holy Communion again, remembering Christ’s love and sacrifice for us once again, and looking forward to His soon return! This week, we want to acknowledge once again those servants who minister here as Sunday school teachers to our most precious little saints. Also, we are seeking additional men and women to teach these little ones the Word of God. See Helen if you have the ministry of teaching, a heart for children and are able to be faithful in this treasured ministry. Every Wednesday evening, we gather for prayer and the study of God’s Word here at the Chapel. Prayer is not just a routine; it’s the strength, the power and the channel through which Christ’s Church moves. Will you heed the call to be a “Watchman” to stand and intercede against the powers of darkness that seek to wreak havoc on our families and God’s work? Prayer Warriors don’t have that name because it’s trendy. They are the real warriors in the spiritual battle in which we are all facing. It’s time to step up and be found on your knees as these Last Days continue to unfold in all their evil. In addition, we are looking for faithful ‘sound’ people who can be part of our media team each Wednesday evening. The harvest is plenteous, but the labourers are few,

From the Pastors Desk
When I was a child, Church folk had a tremendous faithfulness to their local congregation or parish. Generations would pass through them; ministers would come and go, but usually only through retirement. But with the times, change has come, and now, in all areas of living, including marriage, there has been a dramatic downturn in ‘stickability’ to use a modern vernacular. Jesus knows how fickle the hearts of humanity can be. John 2:24 But Jesus didn’t trust them because he knew human nature. When Paul, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, wrote out the requirements of those who were to be overseers, elders, and pastors of Christ’s Church, he described them this way – 2Ti 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. We live in a non-committal, easy-come, easy-go society, and this lifestyle has drifted into the Church. I often see it in our fast-food restaurants. People demand their food their way fast! Any delay, however, and boy, we see angry people demanding so much. It’s all one way! Let us remember that the Church of Jesus Christ is not a club, company, social gathering, or consumer group. It is the living organism of believers, the body of Christ of which Christ is the Lord and Saviour!

Grace Giving
2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities.

Calvary Chapel Nasinu
Let us pray for CC Nasinu and for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be faithfully taught throughout all of Fiji.

Helen’s Heart
The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, honour and life – Proverbs 22:4 This generation is hot after greed…do you really need to work such long hours, can your children be ‘on hold’ while you pursue this greed; do you really need that latest gadget? There comes a time to say, “enough, I am content with what I have.” Then unselfishness, generosity and blessing will follow!

World news
CNN reports that the U.S. forces in the Middle East have been put on high alert, to prepare for potential Iranian attacks in retaliation for the Israeli airstrike in Damascus A large-scale attack on the U.S. military would be a serious mistake by Tehran.
