Wednesday 7:00pm – Prayer and Genesis Overview

This week at Calvary.
This week, we are back in the book of Genesis, and Pastor Israel commences a new series in 1 Peter tonight. Our goal at CCSH is to take you through the entire Bible so that you receive the whole word of God for the Bible tells us, 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: We will be finishing the book of Genesis next Sunday, which we started back on the 14th of January, and beginning a new study series in the Gospel of Mark. Mark’s Gospel is basically the personal account of the Apostle Peter, in which Mark, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, puts pen to paper. The CCSH board will be meeting to seek the Lord’s wisdom regarding our partnering with AEBM and the extent of our relationship with them. Please pray for the CCSH Board regarding this matter. Pastor James Stretchberry and the American European BETHEL Mission will advise us when touring Israel will be a viable and safe option once more, as many of you have been enquiring when you can travel. Just a reminder: Calvary Kids, Calvary Youth, and the Calvary Women’s study are all on school break. If you desire prayer this morning or would like to know how to receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour, after the service make your way to the front of the sanctuary and one of the pastors or elders will be available to pray with you and help you with your need.

From the Pastors Desk
Isaiah 46:10 Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish. We have no control over the day of our birth or our death. We are aware, however, that God has complete control over our lives. He who holds your breath in His hand – Daniel 5:23 We have seen in Jacob and Joseph’s lives; God’s plan played out in detail. But where do we fit in these Last Days, and what will happen to us? People worry about their future now, with good reason, due to the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine, terrorism worldwide, antisemitism, and growing tension between Russia, NATO, the United States, China, and Taiwan. However, when one receives Christ, a profound peace that surpasses all understanding settles within our hearts. Every follower of Christ has Heaven in their future view and their horizon, with Christ’s return for His Church soon. His Word reassures us each day, Let not your heart be troubled – John 14

Helen’s Heart
For this reason, I say to you, do not be anxious for your life – Matthew 6:25 Many concerns consume our lives, and these can rob us of all God has given us. Singles – worry about meeting their future mate. Young marrieds – worry about starting a family. Parents – worry about their kids walk with the Lord. Empty nesters – worry about their future. Aged – worry about their declining health and their dependence on others. Matthew 6:33 says to seek Him and all these things will be taken care of.

Grace Giving
2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
