Daily devotion – your way or His way

Pastor Keith   -

Pro 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

There are times in our lives that we seem to stubbornly resist God’s wisdom and direction for the direction or path we are currently heading. It might be a bad habit that we are pandering to knowing full well it is not something that brings glory to God nor is it making us more like Christ in any way. But we are staying within its pull with little resistance on our behalf.

Or it might be a wrong relationship which we knew right from the beginning was not one that God would approve of, but we dug our heels in because this is the way we wanted to go.

The writer of proverbs pulls the cover off such a type of living and reveals to us that if we continue down this path or relationship it will bring death to things in our life.

Whatever situation or path you are on at this moment, if it is one that you know is not the Lord’s, it’s time to do something decisive before it is too late.

Seek God’s help, ask Him to help break the direction you are heading, to cease the relationship, all things that put God in second place and He will rescue you before it is too late.

By prayer and asking God to have His way in your life, by you surrendering your will to Him, God will set you free and place you back on a path to life instead of death!
