Reverence During Service
In reverence to the Lord and His Word, we kindly ask for your cooperation in maintaining an atmosphere of worship and focus during our services. To minimize distractions and to honor the time of reflection, we request that you remain in your seat once the service has commenced. The only exception to this is for parents who may need to respond to signals from the creche regarding their children. Otherwise, we ask that you please wait until the close of the service before leaving. This allows everyone to fully engage with the message God has for them and to reflect on it without interruption.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping to create a worshipful environment for all.

This week at Calvary. Today, we come together at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour to celebrate both Holy Communion and Father’s Day. This is a special moment for us to reflect on the incredible love and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we partake in the bread and cup, let us remember all that Christ has done for us, giving thanks for His boundless grace and mercy. To all the fathers and grandfathers present today, we lift you up in prayer, asking the Lord to bestow His abundant blessings upon you. Your role as the spiritual head of your family is a profound responsibility, especially in these challenging times. May you reflect God’s love, grace, and mercy as you guide and nurture your families, leading them in faith and strength. As a reminder, there will be no evening service tonight due to the Father’s Day celebrations. We encourage you to spend this time with your loved ones, cherishing the moments and building lasting memories. Our regular Sunday evening services will resume next week. We also invite you to continue joining us for prayer each Wednesday evening. Whether you gather here at the chapel or pray from your homes, your prayers are vital. A church that prays together witnesses the power of God moving mightily for His glory. Please remember to pray for Pastor Israel and April as they travel to visit Calvary Chapel Nasinu in Fiji this week. We look forward to hearing about what the Lord is doing in Fiji and how we, as a congregation, can support and be part of His work there.
Additionally, we want to update you on the progress of our church extension plans. This week, the CCSH Board met with our architect and builder to discuss the next steps. A significant change has been made to the plans, with the extensions now proposed to be positioned at the front of the sanctuary instead of the rear, as initially envisioned. Please keep this project in your prayers, asking for God’s wisdom and guidance as we move forward. May the Lord continue to lead us as a church family, growing in His love and being a light in our community.

From the Pastors Desk. As we approach Father’s Day on the 1st of September, which also marks the beginning of Spring, it’s hard not to notice the seamless rhythm with which the seasons change. Life, too, seems to move along in a continuous cycle, often with little apparent change. However, beneath this surface of normalcy, there are significant shifts occurring in our world that many choose to overlook. In 2 Peter 3:3-4, we are warned of scoffers who will arise in the last days, dismissing the signs of Christ’s return and claiming that everything remains the same as it has always been. Yet, when we look closely, we can see that things are far from normal. The signs of the times are evident: the Middle East is engulfed in conflict, debates over sexuality and identity dominate political discourse, and the sanctity of life is under constant assault with the widespread acceptance of abortion. Global tensions are at an all-time high, with the threat of war looming over nations like Israel, Iran, Russia, Ukraine, China, and Taiwan. Family structures are disintegrating, youth are battling with violence, suicide, and substance abuse, and anti-Semitism is rearing its ugly head once again, reminiscent of the horrors faced by Israel under the Nazis, now perpetuated by extremist Islamic ideologies. Peter reminds us in 2 Peter 3:5-7 that those who deny the urgency of these times “wilfully forget” the power and judgment of God, who once destroyed the world with a flood and will one day bring judgment by fire. However, in His infinite patience, God is holding back that day, not wanting anyone to perish, but desiring that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:8-9). As Christ’s Church, we are not bystanders in this unfolding drama; we are active participants. The Lord has positioned us here for such a time as this, to be vigilant and discerning, understanding the times we live in and the urgency of our mission. We are called to be a light in the darkness, a voice of truth in a world that desperately needs to hear the message of salvation. Let us not be lulled into complacency by the apparent continuity of life. Instead, may we be wise and alert, recognizing the signs around us and responding with the urgency and compassion that our calling demands. As the world teeters on the brink of profound change, we have the privilege and responsibility to proclaim the hope of Christ and the reality of His imminent return. Now, more than ever, let us be the Church that shines brightly in the midst of darkness, guiding others to the only true source of hope and salvation—our Lord Jesus Christ.

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Pastor Israel will be landing in CC Nasinu this coming Wednesday!

Helen’s Heart – But in the day of adversity, consider – God has made the one well as the other – Ecc 7:13 When we are enduring days of stress – wisdom allows us to evaluate with objectivity. God wants us to walk by faith, not by what we see or feel. He has a perfect plan. We need to trust Him and not be afraid.

Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
