Reverence During Service
In reverence to the Lord and His Word, we kindly ask for your cooperation in maintaining an atmosphere of worship and focus during our services. To minimize distractions and to honor the time of reflection, we request that you remain in your seat once the service has commenced. The only exception to this is for parents who may need to respond to signals from the creche regarding their children. Otherwise, we ask that you please wait until the close of the service before leaving. This allows everyone to fully engage with the message God has for them and to reflect on it without interruption. Thank you for your understanding and for helping to create a worshipful environment for all.

This week at Calvary
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour today! It is no coincidence that God has placed the theme of marriage on our hearts for both the morning and evening services this Sunday. God clearly has a special message for us regarding the sanctity and beauty of marriage, and how He intended it to be, even as we navigate life in a fallen world. Please note that with the school vacation break, our Calvary Women’s Study, Calvary Kids, and Calvary Youth programs are all on a break for this period. However, we invite you to join us this Wednesday for our mid-week Bible study and corporate prayer night. Bible study in the Book of Mark will begin at 7:00pm, followed by a time of prayer at 7:30pm. If you are unable to attend in person, you can still join us online and participate in prayer from your home. As a reminder, please check the lost property container located outside the Sunday school foyer for any items you may have left behind. Today, we encourage you to ask the Lord to lead you to someone new here at church. Take a moment to introduce yourself, engage in a meaningful conversation, and ask how you can pray for them in the coming week. Also, take the opportunity to share how Christ has transformed your life and the wonderful things He has done for you. Finally, if you would like prayer today, please don’t hesitate to come forward after each service. The pastors and elders will be available at the front of the sanctuary to pray with you. Remember, it’s always a good time to pray! May the Lord bless you as you worship and seek Him today.
From the Pastors Desk
Genesis 1:26 tells us that we are made in the image of God: “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” This foundational truth sets us apart from the animal kingdom. We are not, as evolutionists claim, merely a higher form of animal. Instead, we are uniquely created with emotions, reasoning, and the capacity for a personal, loving relationship with our Creator and Savior. When someone we know passes from this world, the flood of emotions—grief, loss, and sorrow—can often feel overwhelming. These feelings, which sometimes defy description, are a reflection of our Creators touch, showing that we are more than mere physical beings. However, God, in His infinite love, provides not only comfort but also the hope of eternity. Even in our deepest pain, He assures us that this life is not the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us of this eternal perspective: “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity into man’s heart.” God has implanted in each of us the awareness that there is more to life than what we see and experience now. This yearning for eternity connects us to the truth that we were made for a relationship with Him, and that death is not the final chapter. When sorrow, pain, or tragedy come into our lives, we can rest assured that the God who made us will comfort us. His love is so profound that He gave His only Son to bear the punishment we deserved, so that we might receive grace, mercy, and eternal life. In our times of suffering, His presence is our peace. We are not animals. We are God’s children, made in His image, and the Creator of the universe is our Father. In Him, we find our ultimate comfort, security, and hope.
Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Pastor Israel will give us an update on his recent visit to the work in Fiji this morning.
Helen’s Heart – Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. Proverbs 12:25 There are many devices of the world that produce anxiety: pressure to pay bills, provide for family, to give them the best in education, sports, music or arts. Paul tells the Church in Philipp how to deal with these pressures – Let your concerns be made to God – Proverbs tells us a kind word from others does not go astray either. So, when you notice someone is distressed don’t dismiss them but give them the kind word of hope, offer to pray with them and remind them of the promises of God to take care of them. Then watch and see the Peace of God keep them!
Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities. Account name – Calvary Chapel Church Secret Harbour Incorporated – Account – 10891970 – BSB – 066-516.
