This week at Calvary
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour!
We’re glad you could join us this morning. Here are some announcements for the upcoming weeks:
Calvary Women – This Tuesday at 9:30 am, join other godly women from CCSH for a time of Bible study, worship, prayer, and encouragement.
Want to know how to become a Christian? – If you feel led to know more about a relationship with Christ, please see one of our pastors right after the service at the front of the sanctuary.
Spring-Cleaning Day – Mark your calendars! On Saturday, November 9th, we’ll meet at 8:00 am to give our church a seasonal refresh. Your help will be greatly appreciated!
Christmas Countdown – Only 58 days until Christmas! Our Christmas Eve service will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 pm. We look forward to celebrating together.
Young Adults Ministry – If you’re a young adult, you’re invited to join our Young Adults group led by Pastor Marlon and Hannah Le Chat. They would love to share with you how to get connected with this amazing group of believers.
Prayer Ministry – Prayer is the power of the Church. We invite you to be part of our prayer ministry team, which meets every Sunday at 9:40 am in Sunday School Classroom #1. We also gather for prayer every Wednesday after the 7:00 pm Bible study to lift up the needs of our fellowship and seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Make prayer a priority in your life, and see how God’s power flows through His Church.
Thank you for being here this morning, and may today’s service be a blessing to you!
Helen’s Heart
I will be with you always to the very end of the age – Matthew 28:20 Dr Handly Moule, was both a Greek scholar and Anglican Bishop. In his study of this verse, he maintained that the word ‘always’ could be paraphrased – “I am with you all the days, all day long.” That means we can count on Christ’s presence not only every day, but every moment of every day! The fact of Christ’s presence means we can have no doubt, that His Word will and cannot fail. What we must do is cultivate the very sense of Christ’s presence, every day, every hour, every moment. This happens when we talk with Him through prayer and worship and listen to Him speak to us through His Word, the Bible. Looking forward to seeing you ladies on Tuesday – the Lord bless you!
From the Pastors Desk
This Sunday, I’m genuinely excited to dive into Mark 14 with you all. God’s Word is filled with people who both inspire us and remind us of the depth of His grace and forgiveness. For me, Noah stands as a godly father, Joseph as a model of righteousness, Moses as a powerful leader, and Joshua and Caleb show what it means to be strong men of faith. Samuel teaches us about devoted prayer, Andrew shows us evangelism, Peter exemplifies endurance, Paul demonstrates incredible courage, and John represents faithful endurance. Today, though, we’ll learn from a woman in Mark 14 whose example challenges us to give our all to Christ. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will open our hearts to the wonder of God’s grace, His forgiveness, and help us find ways to show our gratitude to the One who gave everything for us on the cross. May God speak to your heart today, and may we be inspired together to deepen our love and devotion to Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji
Please, with your family, pray for the work in Fiji this week. Continue to pray for wisdom for Pastor Charles and for strength for his wife Tina and their children. Pray for God’s Holy Spirit to empower and guide them as they seek to win Fiji to Christ by the expository teaching of God’s Word.
