This week at Calvary Welcome! We are delighted to have you with us at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour today.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who dedicated their time and effort on Saturday for our chapel’s spring clean. Thanks to your hard work, every part of our space—from chairs and windows to air conditioners, floors, toys, and tables—has been meticulously cleaned. Your commitment is a wonderful witness to God’s glory, and the delicious breakfast served that morning was a true blessing. This morning we have a blessed bay dedication!

Upcoming Observances: Remembrance Day – Tomorrow, we pause to remember. At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we will observe a minute of silence, honoring the courage and sacrifice of all those who fought for our nation’s freedom. Our church’s Australian flag will fly at half-mast in tribute to them. Let us reflect with gratitude on their bravery and legacy.

Ministry Updates – Calvary Women Please note, due to a funeral service being held at our chapel this Tuesday, the next Calvary Women’s Bible Study has been rescheduled to Tuesday, 26th November. Mark your calendars, and we look forward to gathering then! Children’s Mission Giving -Parents, we are so encouraged by the dedication shown by the children of CCSH in their mission giving. They have been outstanding! Please continue to encourage them each Sunday as they grow in this blessed habit of grace.

Church Extension Plans – We are excited to share the first interim architectural drawings for our chapel extensions! These are preliminary drafts, giving us a glimpse of what’s to come. Stop by the information desk to take a look, and let’s be in prayer for this project as we move forward.

Countdown to Christmas – There are only six Sundays until Christmas! Let’s prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of our Saviour and to share this season of joy and hope with others.

Midweek Bible Study – Join us this Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm for our study on the crucifixion of Christ as we journey through the Gospel of Mark. Following the study, we will come together in prayer. Whether in person or online via our YouTube channel (simply search for “Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour”), we would love for you to join us. Be sure to let family and friends know, especially those who are overseas, about our online access!

Thank you for being a part of the Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour family. Let us continue to walk together in faith, love, and service. Blessings, Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Team

From the Pastors Desk A Christmas Reminder: Keeping Christ at the Centre: As the busyness of the season builds up, let’s take a moment to reflect. Leading up to Christmas Eve on Tuesday, December 24th, life can feel like a whirlwind—school exams, end-of-year work deadlines, family gatherings, wedding season, and the endless preparations for Christmas. All these demands rush at us, and in the midst of it, it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters. This time of year, can be spiritually dangerous if we aren’t disciplined in our walk with the Lord. Daily devotions, family prayer, and Church fellowship anchor us and keep us close to Jesus, even when the world around us is moving at full speed. The Christmas season can come and go, and if we’re not careful, we might lose Jesus in the midst of it all—just as Joseph and Mary did when Jesus was twelve. They searched for Him for three days before finding Him in the temple (Luke 2:45-50). How can we make sure we don’t “lose” Jesus this Christmas? It’s simple: hold on to the practices that define you as a Christian. Stay in the Word, keep praying, stay connected with your Church family, and serve the Lord. Don’t let the world crowd out your Saviour. Be disciplined with your time and take control of your days. Start each morning with prayer and God’s Word and end each day the same way. If life starts feeling too busy, let go of anything else, but don’t let go of Jesus. Let’s begin the Christmas season by dedicating ourselves to the One who was born in a manger. Remember, He came for you! Keep Him at the centre, and let His peace and love fill this season.

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Like Australia, no snow or winter days in Fiji at Christmas. But Christ will be worshipped in CC Nasinu as He will be here at CCSH. Pray for their Christmas services now as well as our own. That God will bring many Fijians out to hear the wonder of the Child born in a manger!

Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities. Account name – Calvary Chapel Church Secret Harbour Incorporated – Account – 10891970 – BSB – 066-516.

Baptism service – don’t forget to sign up for our baptism service to be held at Palm Beach – Rockingham

Graduation from Sunday School – Is your son or daughter ready to sit in the main sanctuary with you for our services? Are they mature enough to move out of Sunday school? If they are, please give their name to one of our Pastors so that they can graduate from the children’s ministry with our blessing.

Helen’s Heart – I will put my laws into their minds and I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God – Heb 8:10. Jesus met people where they were, not as they ‘ought’ to be. Fishermen, the blind, beggars, street walkers, grieving parents, the severely ill, proud politicians. His enemies could not understand this compassion. They hated Him because they could not relate to these ‘poor in spirit’. But those of us who understand His great mercy and advocacy have only respect, honour, and gratitude. Jesus represents sinners like us in the highest place – the presence of God. Therefore will the Lord wait, that He may be gracious unto you and have mercy on you. Isaiah 30:18.
