Daily devotion – Grace extended or open rebellion?

Pastor Keith   -

The elections in the United States are coming to the pointy end of decision. Will citizens of the nation that has inscribed on its currency, “In God We Trust” vote for a government that supports abortion, or will the people vote for a government that opposes abortion? This week we will find out!

If a nation that was founded on the Word of God decides to support a pro-abortion government, it will be a clear sign to the rest of the world that humanity is now in complete rebellion to the Word of God.

Terminology such as calling abortion ‘health care’ is far from the truth of what it is. Back in history those nations that lived in rebellion against God had infant sacrifice as part of their religious observance. It is amazing as many theologians say it’s only been between 6,000 to 8,000 years since God created the world in which we live. Since the creation of man, sin has maintained its deathly grip on humanity from the time that God looked upon the world and saw the following – Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

God caused a great flood and only Noah, and 7 other souls were saved from the judgment of God.

Isaiah prophesied that in these Last Days man would completely reverse that which is considered good or evil – Isa 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

If we see a vote against abortion, it tells us that we are still living in a period of grace but for how long we do not know before God’s judgment falls once again. The ultimate sign post for us to fix our gaze is the nation Israel and the current events happening there now.

All of the world events occurring at this moment according to Bible prophecy tell us as Christians that we need to get our house in order before God does so as Jesus did in the Temple prior to His death and resurrection.

I pray that you are diligent in your reading and obedience to the Word of God today, and that it is not something you will get to tomorrow. I pray also that you are spending time in God’s presence each day, growing in your knowledge of Him and serving Him with all your heart!

See you Wednesday for study and prayer, Lord willing!
