Ladies today is your last chance to sign up to come along to the end-of-year Calvary Women’s gathering and celebration – Saturday 7th December 9:30am here at the chapel. This coming Christmas Eve Service – as we prepare for this special night of worship and proclamation of Christ’s birth, we need volunteers to assist with the evening. If you’d like to help, please see one of our Elders or Pastors. Water Baptism – If you’re considering water baptism, check out the sign-up sheet in the foyer for more details. This morning we celebrate holy communion together. If you would like to receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour today, please see one of our pastors directly after the service. They will take you through the scriptures, pray with you and give you a new Bible to start your journey with the Lord. Calvary Kids and Calvary Youth are both ‘happening’ this coming Friday here at the chapel – a great place for your kids to grow in Christ and enjoy the company of other believers their own age!

Luke 1: 30 “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. 32 He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. Advent: Anticipating the Coming of Christ
The word Advent means “coming” or “visit” and beautifully encapsulates the season that leads us to Christmas. This time reminds us that as Christians, we live between two advents—the first, when Jesus was born in Bethlehem, and the second, when He will come again in glory. As we begin this Advent season, our focus turns toward the prophecies and promises that prepared the way for Christ’s first coming. This year, may we intentionally start Christmas early in our homes and families. Instead of rushing toward December 25th, let us pause and marvel at the wonder of God’s perfect plan to send His Son, Jesus, as our Saviour. Take time to read the Scriptures that reveal the incredible story of His birth. Reflect on the faith of Mary and Joseph, the awe of the shepherds, and the fulfillment of prophecies that culminated in the birth of Christ. This is the greatest story ever told—God coming to earth as a baby, born in a humble stable, to save us from our sins. Don’t let the noise and distractions of the world rob you of the joy and wonder of Christmas. Instead, draw near to the heart of God and let the hope of Christ’s coming fill your heart with peace and joy.
Reflection: How can you intentionally focus on the true meaning of Advent this year? Take time to share the story of Christ’s birth with your family or friends, and let this season be filled with worship and awe for the King of kings. Let us prepare our hearts, just as God prepared the world for the coming of His Son, and celebrate the wonder of Advent with joy and anticipation!
