This week at Calvary
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour this morning. We will be having a blessed baby dedication today! PTL. We continue in our Advent series this morning as we examine young Mary’s (13-15 years of age) song of prophetic praise. It’s often called Mary’s Magnificat, Latin for “magnify”. Parents again examine the biblical content of this passage this morning. Let it be your aim to have your children’s Bible knowledge and love of God be like that of Marys. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. It’s just 10 days until we celebrate Christmas and the blessed birth of our Saviour. Be sure to invite family and friends out for our special Christmas Eve service here commencing at 6:00pm Tuesday 24th. For those of you who have family overseas or some distance away, SMS or email them of how they can join us online for our Christmas Eve service via our YouTube channel. We also ask for you to pray for this time as well for God’s blessing as we gather in His name. This afternoon we have our Baptism service at 1:30pm at Palm Beach Rockingham. If you are part of the baptism service, there is a teaching class for you to attend today at 9:00am, so you are well prepared for your baptism.

Helen’s Heart
Your hands made me and fashioned me so wonderfully complex – Psalm 139:13 If you are one to look in the mirror and see only your flaws, remind yourself that God planned, designed and made you by His own hand. He fashioned specifically your personality, skills and outward appearance to accomplish His plan. We have no place to be dissatisfied with what God has made. We truly are ‘handmade by God’ with love – Ephesians 2:10 – created in Christ to do good works. We are God’s workmanship!

Calvary Chapel Nasinu Fiji Please pray for the– Fiji Youth Camp – 12th – 16th December; for young Fijian souls to hear and receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Your prayers will make a difference!

Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities. Account name – Calvary Chapel Church Secret Harbour Incorporated – Account – 10891970 – BSB – 066-516.

Pastor’s Pen
My heart breaks at this moment for our nation Australia. Our government leaders have completely turned their backs on God and as the prophet Hosea spoke – Hos 8:7 For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: I am working on a special message for our last Sunday 2024 as we take a serious look at Bible prophecy and the repercussions of a nation that curses God’s people Israel. Our nation’s history politically with Israel is troubling – “In spite of the alarming rise in the Nazi persecution of German Jews and the annexation of Austria in 1938, Australia’s attitude towards Jewish refugees remained inhospitable. This was expressed at the Evian Conference on Refugees on 6-15 July, 1938, by Australia’s chief delegate, Colonel T. W. White who declared: “as we have no real racial problem, we are not desirous of importing one by encouraging any scheme of large-scale foreign migration”. In our first visit to the Holocaust Museum Yadvashem in Jerusalem, it was the first time I was ever embarrassed to be an Australian. For there hanging in the museum was a large white sign with the words highlighted spoken by White. Many Jews at that time were trying to flee Germany to escape the Nazis. What we did as a nation to God’s chosen people who were bound for the concentration camps and death was deplorable. We find ourselves living now in similar political times! We as a Church, if we do not pray, if we do nothing, but sit idly as the Jewish people suffer, we will be guilty of repeating history once again! Gen 12:3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
