Sunday 6:00pm – Christmas Celebration Evening

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE – 6:00PM TUESDAY

This week at Calvary Chapel
Christmas is nearly here, and we pray for you and your family to have a very blessed and merry Christmas from all here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour. Make sure you arrive early for our 6:00pm Christmas Eve service so you can find seating for you and your family. In addition, remember to SMS and email family and friends so they can join with us online via our YouTube channel! For the children this Christmas Eve, we will have a special Christmas Book gift for each of them! For the next two weeks our Wednesday evening study and prayer will be on hold to allow staff a few days break to get away with family at this time. Prayer will resume on the 8th of January 2025. On Sunday January 5th we have a guest speaker for our Sunday morning service, Pastor Chris Fisher, from Calvary Chapel Albany. Many of you are asking if we are planning to head to Israel when it’s safe to travel. Yes, as soon as it has been declared as such we will begin plans once again to travel to the Holy Land.

“Christmas is based on an exchange of gifts, the gift of God to man – His unspeakable gift of His Son, and the gift of man to God – when we present our bodies a living sacrifice.” – Vance Havner

Pastor’s Pen Last week I wrote to both the Adass Israel Synagogue in Melbourne, which was firebombed on December 6 and our local Perth Hebrew Congregation – below is the response from the Perth Hebrew Congregation which I know will stir you to continue to pray for the Jewish community here and in the eastern states: “Dear Pastor Keith – I am writing on behalf of Rabbi Lieberman and the Perth Hebrew Congregation’s Board to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the very kind message sent to us recently. We would like to also express our grateful thanks for your kind prayers of support for the Jewish nation and the IDF and to thank you for your offer of assisting us in any way. The Jewish community of Perth is extremely grateful to all the groups and individuals of WA who have been in touch via email, letters and phone calls. We are truly thankful for all the contact and support.
We will continue praying for the release of the hostages and Israel and hope that you and your community will be able to start travelling again.
Please pass on our sincere thanks to all of the Calvary Chapel congregation and friends. With kind regards – Nikki Ross.
Israel has been fighting for its right to live in its latest war front since October 7th, 2023, now a total of 1 year, 2 months and 15 days – and the hostages still are not free!

Next Sunday morning I will be giving a prophetic update on the world events as we head into 2025 and what they mean for our nation Australia specifically.

This Sunday evening, we warmly invite you to a beautiful and meaningful time of worship at CCSH as we come together to celebrate the Christmas season. Our service will begin at 6:00 pm and conclude at 7:00 pm, offering an hour of reflection, joy, and community as we prepare our hearts for Christmas. The evening will feature a time of Communion, a sacred opportunity to remember and give thanks for the incredible gift of Jesus Christ. Through this act of faith, we’ll reflect on the love and sacrifice that makes this season so extraordinary. Adding to the spirit of the season, we will sing beloved Christmas carols and contemporary Christmas worship songs. These timeless melodies and heartfelt lyrics will help us rejoice in the birth of our Saviour and renew our awe and wonder at God’s incredible gift to the world. It’s a chance to pause amidst the busyness of December, draw closer to God, and experience the beauty of worshiping Him together as a community.
Let’s celebrate the hope and joy of Christmas with hearts full of worship and gratitude. We look forward to seeing you there!

Helen’s Heart – Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Amidst a world that does not recognise the Christ of Christmas – we as Christians need to celebrate the “Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” John 1:29. The Creator who became your Saviour: Jesus is the reason for the season – Your and my spirit rejoices!
