Daily devotion – 25 words

John 3:16-21

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

Every time Billy Graham, the renowned evangelist, was asked to do a sound check for his television appearances and interviews, he recited John 3:16. Over and over, the words of salvation were spoken, used to reach the lost with the power of the Word of God. Billy Graham never missed an opportunity to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

These 25 words contain the message of life and salvation that God has for every man, woman, and child on our planet. People often feel unsure about how to share the love of Christ with family, friends, or strangers. We stumble over our words, struggling to connect with the hearts of those we are trying to bring to Christ. But these 25 words do it all for you!

When you share these words, God, by His Holy Spirit, brings His power to bear on the soul of those listening, even if they are not aware of it.

Hebrews 4:12″For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

These 25 words tell the full story of the wonder of God’s love, His forgiveness, and His judgment if His invitation is ignored.

Memorize these words. Speak them boldly. Share them frequently.

But as Christians, don’t stop at verse 16 in John’s third chapter—read on! The following verses go into detail about what happens when God’s love is rejected and how serious the matter is. This truth should drive each of us with a passion to share those first 25 words.

The verses that follow remind us that humanity is already condemned without Christ, that we are not right with God without receiving Christ as our Savior.

This week, share these 25 Words that can change a person’s eternal destiny!
