God’s Promised Land: A Truth to Proclaim

The debate over Israel’s ownership of its land continues to rage in the world today, perpetuated by political agendas and widespread misinformation. Phrases like “illegal occupation” are thrown around recklessly by organizations such as Amnesty International, whose reports and rhetoric often fuel antisemitic narratives.

Yet, as believers, we must always stand firm in God’s truth and not allow the enemy’s lies to go unchallenged. The Bible, which is God’s Word, clearly reveals the truth about the land of Israel:

In Genesis 12:7, God made a covenant with Abraham: “To your offspring I will give this land.”

This promise was reiterated to Abraham in Genesis 13:14-17, where God instructed him to look in every direction and promised him and his descendants the land as a permanent possession.

Fast forward more than 500 years, as we now study the Book of Joshua, God reminded Joshua and the new leaders of Israel of His covenant with Abraham. The time had come for the Israelites to cross the Jordan and claim the land promised to them by God.

Speaking Truth in 2025
As believers, we are called to boldly speak the truth amidst the lies that dominate the news and public discourse about Israel. The contempt for the God of Israel and His Word is woven into the false narratives propagated by many media outlets today.

But the truth is this:

Israel’s land belongs to Israel—legally, rightfully, truthfully, and biblically.
The promises made to Abraham remain unchanging, for God’s covenant is eternal.
Even to this day, Israel has yet to fully occupy all the land God promised them.

A Call to Faith
This reality reminds us that God’s promises are always sure, even if they are fulfilled in His perfect timing. Just as the Israelites were called to step out in faith to possess their inheritance, we too are called to trust in God’s promises for our lives.

May we be emboldened to:

Proclaim God’s truth, even in the face of opposition.
Stand with Israel, recognizing its place in God’s eternal plan.
Trust that God’s Word will never fail, no matter how much time passes.
Let us also be like Abraham, who trusted God’s promises, and Joshua, who obeyed His commands. Let us move forward in faith, standing on God’s truth in 2025 and beyond!
