Holy Communion this morning.

Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour!
This morning ing we gather as the body of Christ here in Secret Harbour to share in holy communion together. The Apostle Paul said, 1 Corinthians 11:23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken[fn] for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. Parents this is an excellent opportunity to teach your children the meaning of the bread and the cup during communion. We are looking for faithful servants to be part of our Media Team on Wednesday evenings as we beam the teaching of God’s Word throughout the world. Are you that person? See Pastor Marlon with your details. We are saved to serve and God gifts each saint with the capacity to bring a blessing to the body of Christ. In 2025 may you be one who is bringing your blessing to the saints here at CCSH.

Pastor’s Pen How Can Someone Receive God’s Forgiveness and Become a Follower of Christ? If someone asked you how they could be forgiven of their sins and follow Christ, what would you say? The Bible makes it clear: to receive God’s forgiveness, a person must repent of their sins and believe in their heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died on Calvary’s Cross to save sinners. 📖 Romans 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” What is Sin? Sin is anything that separates us from a holy God. It is disobedience to God’s perfect standard—whether in thought, word, or action.
📖 Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Sin is not just doing bad things—it is our nature. Every human being is born with sin, which is why we all need a Saviour. What Does NOT Make Someone a Christian? Going to church does not make you a Christian. Having Christian parents does not make you a Christian. Being kind and loving does not make you a Christian. If we could become Christians by our own good works, then Christ’s suffering and death on the Cross would have been pointless. But the truth is, only Jesus can save us. Why Did Jesus Die? Jesus died on the Cross to reveal God’s love and to make a way for sinners to be forgiven. 📖 John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Becoming a Follower of Christ To follow Christ means to begin a personal relationship with God through His Son. Every step of salvation is the work and wonder of God—not our own efforts. This week, I encourage you to seek an opportunity to share this truth with someone who needs to know Jesus personally!

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji After our Church prayed for CC Nasinu last week as Pastor Charles asked us to – he wrote back with this beautiful repose, “Hi Keith and CCSH. Thanks for praying. Youth outreach on Friday went well and few young people gave their life. Praise be to God. 70 young people turned up. Today we had our leadership and 20 leaders from different churches attended. Thanks for your prayers.”

Helen’s Heart When the Lord brings you in to the land..then watch yourself lest you forget the Lord who brought you out of the house of slavery – Deut 6:10,12.
Have you noticed that when things are going smoothly and you are in a period of blessing it can be easy to forget God? We become indulgent and presumptuous, and self sufficiency and pride can overtake us. Respect and gratefulness to God can bring us back into balance. Take a moment to thank God for all He has done for you!

Grace Giving
2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities. Account name – Calvary Chapel Church Secret Harbour Incorporated – Account – 10891970 – BSB – 066-516.

“God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, broken bread to give strength. It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth perfume.” – Vance Havner
