Daily devotion – Today is the day of salvation

Pastor Keith   -

Who would have thought we would have three Chinese warships off our coast here in Western Australia? The same three ships that carried out “live firing” off the east coast of Australia causing three commercial flights to be diverted.

In addition, the fracas that has occurred between Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. president Donald Trump has turned the government’s of Europe in a spin.

These countries are now believing they can no longer as previously, look to the U.S. for military support, if they came under attack. So a new European arms race has been initiated!

The fragile cease fire between Israel and Hamas is strained to breaking point with the rest of the Israeli hostages still yet to be released (those who are alive and the bodies of the deceased)

Australia can no longer take military protection for granted, as our world is spinning and Nato threatening to send troops now into Ukraine which could escalate the conflict to the rest of Europe.

Any person who still has their head buried in their self indulgent life and is unaware of the world’s current tension is missing the signs that Jesus warned us about that would precede the Tribulation period that will fall upon a Christ rejecting world.

But such world news and upheaval should cause Christ’s Church to be operating as if its ‘turbo charger’ or a super injection steroids has been initiated!

Our world is not simply bumbling on as it has in the past. Things have changed! So too, every believer is to be living in anticipation now of each new day, as more and more signs are revealed of Christ’s soon return.

The world governments are being moved into the position that creates the perfect slot for a new world leader to ‘solve’ the current tsunami of anxiety across nations.

This Wednesday evening I will speak of this very character who I believe is alive today. Who he is, that is who the antichrist is, I do not nor will ever know.

But we can be sure the time for him to take the world stage is near.

Over and over I think of these times and compare them to the times of Noah just as Jesus said it would be. Let us be people of the Word today and NOT people of the world.

May we here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour be the Church that Christ can use in these Last Days. May we be a people who remain faithful to God’s Word and obedient to it in how we live each day.

The period of grace is soon to close. This is why TODAY is the day of salvation.

Pray for your loved ones, share the love of Christ with them and be people of the Word of God.

Romans 10: 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
