Welcome to CCSH – Easter Sunday Morning 2025
We warmly welcome you this Easter Sunday as we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! This morning, Pastor Marlon will lead us in Holy Communion, as we remember Christ’s sacrifice for us on Calvary’s Cross. May we reflect on the deep significance of Communion — a sacred act reserved for believers in Jesus Christ. Please note:
👉 There will be no evening service tonight only.
👉 Services resume as normal this Wednesday evening with Discipleship Night, continuing our study in the Book of Colossians, followed by a time of prayer as we seek the Lord together. As a special Easter gift from CCSH, each attendee today will receive a small olive wood cross, lovingly carved in Israel, to serve as a beautiful reminder of the Resurrection. This Friday is Anzac Day — a solemn reminder of the freedom we have to worship Jesus Christ here in Australia, made possible by the sacrifice of many. Let us not forget. He is Risen!

Pastor’s Pen – Easter Sunday 2025
As we gather this Easter Sunday, we find ourselves living in an Australia that is staring into the face of God’s judgment—for we, as a nation, have turned our back on God and His Word. Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ rose from the dead, and the Gospel message of forgiveness, hope, and grace began to spread across the world. That message has not changed. But the hearts of people have. Today, hearts have become hedonistic, selfish, and openly rebellious against all that Christ taught and represented. How did this happen in our nation? What went wrong? This turning away from God did not happen overnight. It has been a slow erosion—fueled by a lack of gratitude for the blessings God has poured out on this land. At the heart of the problem is the weakening of the Church in Australia. Many churches have closed, not due to persecution, but from apathy and lack of support. Why? Because the Church has drifted from the clear, faithful teaching of the Word of God. Instead, many now preach a man-centred message that scratches itching ears and denies the true faith. Correction is avoided. Warnings are silenced. The full counsel of God is neglected. The Apostle Paul warned us of this day:“For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” – 2 Corinthians 11:4
Today, the salt has lost its savour. The light is hidden. Prayer has become a list of fleshly requests. And the Gospel is growing silent in the land once known as “The Great South Land of the Holy Spirit.” But God is still calling—calling for individuals to stand strong on His behalf in a fallen world. Are you ready for the task? This Easter, may the resurrection of Jesus Christ remind us that He is still the only hope for Australia. And may we, His people, rise up in faith, truth, and boldness.

Helen’s Heart
Mat 26:13 “Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.” ANZAC Day, 25th April, is a day we remember and honour the everyday heroes of the armed forces who have defended our country. Our hearts express such deep felt gratitude for their courage and sacrifice. Jesus paid tribute to Mary, for her costly act of honouring Him with the fragrant oil. Despite the criticism that her act was wasteful Jesus called it ‘beautiful ‘ and she would be remembered for her act. It is good for us to remember and honour all who have done what is ‘beautiful’ in Jesus name!
“Do not say of any man that he cannot be saved. The blood of Jesus is omnipotent.” – C.H. Spurgeon
