What’s On This Week –
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour!
We are blessed to gather this morning and to celebrate the Lord’s Supper together.
Men of Calvary — A Call to Serve in Junior Church
Men, we are prayerfully seeking Bible-teaching men to join our Junior Church teaching ministry. For too long, “Sunday School” has often been seen as primarily a woman’s role. Yet, nowhere in the Bible is this distinction made. Here at CCSH, we refer to this ministry as Junior Church — the vital foundation for men who desire to step into ministry and begin as Bible teachers to our most precious young saints. Even if you are not pursuing formal ministry, every man should consider the privilege and responsibility of teaching God’s Word to the next generation. This is an essential part of godly leadership in the Church today. Men, please see Pastor Nat to discuss how you can be part of this blessed ministry.
Additionally, we are specifically seeking two more teachers to serve in our Junior Church classes for Kindy to Grade 2. Let’s step up, men, and fill the gap where God has called us!
Calvary Women — Tuesday Morning Study
Ladies, our next Tuesday morning study will be held on Tuesday, May 6th at 9:30 am here at the chapel. Mark your calendars and set a reminder — you won’t want to miss this precious time of fellowship and encouragement among godly women. Mother’s Day Service — Sunday, May 11th Next Sunday is our special Mother’s Day service!

Pastor Keith will bring a message honoring the significant role of mothers in God’s kingdom. Be sure to invite your mum, grandma, and loved ones as we celebrate and give thanks for the mothers among us. “Let’s be praying this week as a church family — for our nation, for our men to rise up, and for the Lord’s blessing on our upcoming Mother’s Day service.”

Pastor’s Pen -A Nation at the Crossroads
As I write this, our nation of Australia is heading to the polls to choose its next government. Yet, as I scan the policies and media reports, I see little mention of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Word of God, or righteousness. Many political platforms seem void of any regard for God’s truth. More troubling is the rise of antisemitism among parties, with barely a voice raised against it. Australians will cast their votes, and in doing so, they reveal where their hearts truly stand — whether in ignorance of God, rebellion against Him, or, in a few cases, loyalty to Him. The future of our nation will rest on the collective heart of its people, and sadly, I sense we are drifting deeper into ungodliness. As a result, I believe the Church in Australia will face increasing sanctions, real persecution, and the refining fire of the Lord. Yet, let us not be downcast to the point of despair. Instead, let’s recognise the times we are living in — the days leading up to the Rapture of the Church and the coming judgment upon this world, which the Bible calls the Great Tribulation. Today, every believing father, mother, son, and daughter must decide: will we draw closer to God or crumble under pressure to conform? Men of Calvary, I appeal especially to you: a passive, laissez-faire attitude is not what your family or the Church needs today. It is decision time. The Lord said in Ezekiel 22:30,”And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.” How Australia votes this weekend may well reveal whether God’s judgment is about to fall or whether His grace will yet be extended. Let us be those who stand in the gap.

Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities. Account name – Calvary Chapel Church Secret Harbour Incorporated – Account – 10891970 – BSB – 066-516.

After the service, if you would like prayer, the Pastors and Elders will be available at the front of the sanctuary to pray with you. In addition, If you would like to know how to become a follower of Christ, someone is ready to show you through God’s Word, what the Bible teaches that we must know and do to be a follower of Christ.

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Supporting Our Brothers and Sisters in Fiji – This week, we were blessed to send out another large box of Sunday school materials to Fiji. On Thursday, we spoke with Pastor Charles, who shared that he has been unwell in recent weeks due to diabetes. Please keep him in your prayers. In his absence, two young men he has been discipling, Albert and Lusiade, have stepped up to teach and lead. Pastor Charles asks that we specifically pray for Albert and Lusiade as they faithfully minister during this time. They are currently teaching through the book of Hebrews, and this Sunday they will be in chapter 3. Let’s lift up our Fijian brothers and sisters, asking the Lord to strengthen them and bless the ministry of His Word there.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
