Mother’s Day Celebration & Baby Dedication
This morning, we joyfully celebrate all the mothers among us — and also those who are ‘like a mother’ to someone in need! We also rejoice in a special baby dedication today, giving thanks to our amazing God, the Creator of all life, for this miracle.
As it is Mother’s Day, please note there will be no evening service tonight, allowing families to spend this blessed occasion together.
We invite you back to the chapel this Wednesday evening for the teaching of God’s Word and a time of united prayer as the Church gathers to seek the Lord. All who believe in the promises of God and the power of prayer are encouraged to join us as we come together before His throne.
If you are visiting with us this special Mother’s Day morning, we warmly welcome you! Please be sure to receive the small gift we’ve prepared for every mum today.
A Call to Prayer
The breaking war between India and Pakistan — both nuclear-armed — reminds us again how fragile this world is. Jesus warned us of the signs of the Last Days: wars and rumours of wars….
The situation in Israel remains tense. Tel Aviv airport was struck this past week, and Israel has issued a final ultimatum to Hamas before launching a new offensive, dubbed “Gideon’s Chariots.” Israeli leadership has approved plans for a large-scale operation aimed at the defeat of Hamas and the rescue of hostages.
Let us, as Christ’s Church, remain faithful to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.”— Psalm 122:6
Helen’s heart
May the LORD, the God of your ancestors, increase you a thousand times and bless you as he has promised..Deut 1:11 As a busy mother; life’s increasing demands weigh heavily on us. Remember though He has promised to complete the good work He has begun in you. Breathe in God’s peace and strength and He will teach you to be a blessing to those around you….through the joy of your laughter, the warmth of your smile, the comfort of your touch, and the peace of your prayers. Jde 1:2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied., ….to you!
Pastor’s Pen
A Mother’s Influence – Susanna Wesley, wife of a pastor and mother of 19 children, was an amazing Christian mother whose godly influence shaped the hearts and futures of her children. She raised them by clear rules grounded in discipline and love: 1.No child was given anything for crying. 2.No eating between meals, except when sick.3. Sleeping times were regulated and reduced as they grew. At 7:00pm, each child was put to bed; at 8:00pm, Susanna left the room.4. Little ones ate at their own tables until they could properly handle knife and fork. Each child ate and drank everything before them.
5. They addressed each other as “sister” or “brother.”
6. Susanna never allowed herself to show ill temper or scold in anger. Her faithful ways bore lasting fruit — her sons, John and Charles Wesley, went on to spark a mighty movement for Christ.
Lastly, near a little church in Kansas, there’s a cement footpath with two tiny footprints, toes pointed toward the church. Years ago, a mother placed her baby boy’s feet in the wet cement, wanting him to start right. The prints remain today — a lasting reminder of a mother’s prayerful hope to set her child on the path toward God. Proverbs 22:6 NLT Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.

Quote of the Week
The great preacher C.H.Spurgeon was asked one time, “What is more important? Prayer or reading the Bible?” To which Spurgeon replied, “I ask, what is more important, breathing in or breathing out?”
Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
A Special Blessing Awaits!
God has promised a unique blessing to those who read the book of Revelation and obey its message. The word ‘read’ means ‘to read out loud’ — just as Revelation was first read aloud in early Church gatherings.
Dads and mums, we encourage you to read this amazing book at home with your family. As you do, not only will your family gain understanding, but you will also receive the blessing God promises. Revelation lays out the future events of this world with great clarity, helping us to see the times we are living in. Most importantly, it reminds us that our relationship with Jesus Christ — who is soon to return — is the greatest priority in all of our lives.
Let’s read, obey, and be blessed together!
