Friday – Calvary Kids and Calvary Youth

Once the service has commenced, especially during the teaching of God’s Word, we ask that you remain seated so not to be a distraction to others. Should you need to move the Ushers on your return will direct you to a seat at the rear of the sanctuary.

What does Jesus think of His Church?

What’s on this week?
Winter Solstice Sunday at CCSH. Welcome! It’s great to have you with us this wintery Sunday—on the shortest day of the year, the winter solstice. What better way to spend it than gathered together in God’s house!
This morning, we continue our powerful journey through the book of Revelation, and tonight we begin a brand-new study on the Holy Spirit. This is a timely and much-needed focus for us as a church family—don’t miss it!
Calvary Kids & Youth
This Friday, Calvary Kids and Calvary Youth will meet for their final gathering before taking a break for the school holidays.
The Calvary Youth team has also designed new CCSH winter hoodies—they’ll be going to print soon! If you’d like to order one, please see Noah for details.
Opportunity to Serve – We’re looking for young servants to help on rainy Sundays by assisting families with small children and our elderly saints with umbrellas as they move to and from their vehicles. If you can help, please speak with Pastor Keith.
Calvary Ladies- The Tuesday morning Women’s Bible Study is now on break until after the school holidays. We encourage you to stay in the Word and in prayer during this season.
Building Extension Update – Progress continues—step by step—with our planned building extensions. We value your prayers for God’s guidance and provision, especially in two key areas: Approval from the City of Rockingham, and Favourable pricing for the construction costs.
The planned works include: A quiet room space, Four multi-functional rooms, One large youth room, and an additional Restroom.
Thank you for praying with us as we continue trusting the Lord for His perfect timing and provision.

Helen’s Heart
Calvary Women’s Night – Many came out and braved the harsh weather conditions on Friday evening. It was a wonderful event, gleaning from the wisdom of the ladies on the panel. We heard great testimonials of how the Lord has worked in individuals. A big THANKYOU to all who provided and set out for the coffee and supper and those who helped make the ladies gathering such a blessing – Helen

From the Pastor’s Pen
If you and I are faithful in our reading of God’s Word, study it, mediate on it, obey it, then God will guide and lead us when we have decisions to make. It is the Holy Spirit who teaches us (John 14:26;16:13-14) and He directs us when we pray and seek the Lord’s will. The Holy Spirit uses truth, not ignorance or feelings; so the more facts we have, the better. We should use our common sense but not lean on it (Proverbs 3:5-6), for we walk by faith and not by sight. If we sincerely move in the wrong direction, the Lord will show us (Acts 16:6-10), so we need not fear. It is good for us to read the Word and pray together, as we seek the mind of the Lord!

Why do we need the Bible?:
God reveals Himself in the Bible through what is called the “doctrine of revelation.”
The Bible answers life’s great questions, Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Did God create us – Yes, God created the Heavens and the earth.
What is man? God created man in His image and in His likeness.
We all have an eternal soul that can be redeemed and saved.
We can go to Heaven.
The Bible tells us what marriage is.
The Bible explains how we should live, what is right and wrong, and how to get right and stay right with God.
The Bible tells us how to get to Heaven.

War in Israel
“According to Army Radio, the Israeli military is highly satisfied with the war’s progress, estimating that 35–40% of Iran’s ballistic missile arsenal has been neutralised to date. The IDF estimates that strikes on all designated nuclear targets will be completed within approximately one week, though officials note that operations could extend by an additional week if necessary.
Among the largest remaining targets is the fortified underground facility at Fordow. The IDF confirmed that the site is in the “target bank,” and Defense Minister Israel Katz noting that Fordow is “an issue that will certainly be addressed.”

Be sure to keep up to date with all that’s happening via our daily devotions here at CCSH
