Devotional – The stage is being set
The Stage is Being Set
Another day passes in the escalating war between Israel and Iran. Tensions have reached new heights, with former U.S. President Donald Trump issuing a stark warning to Tehran residents to “evacuate immediately.” His words hint at possible U.S. involvement—or at the very least, increasing global pressure.
World leaders appear paralyzed. Some governments are openly antisemitic, while others vacillate between lukewarm support and passive indifference. Yet every nation is feeling the ripple effects—financially, politically, and spiritually. The recent G7 summit in Canada ended in futility, achieving nothing of substance, with even Australia’s Prime Minister not being able to event meet with President Trump.
The global political landscape is dishevelled and weak. The U.S., U.K., Ireland, and much of Europe seem exhausted and bewildered as Israel once again must act alone to defend her right to exist.
This vacuum of leadership—marked by indecision, fear, and compromise—sets the stage for a figure the Bible has long warned us about. Revelation 6 introduces him as a rider on a white horse:
“And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.” — Revelation 6:1–2
This man will appear as a peacemaker. He will be hailed as the world’s answer—a charismatic leader who seems to unify what is now crumbling. Even Israel will receive him, for a time. But his rule will unleash darkness, deceit, and devastation. He is the antichrist.
Yet, according to God’s Word, he cannot take his place until the Church is removed. The rapture must come first.
Brothers and sisters, we are not to be alarmed—but awake. The signs are before us. The Bible is not vague—it is precise. The time is short, and our mission is clear: to live holy lives, to share the gospel, and to look up, for our redemption draws near.
