Prayer for the church

Once the service has commenced, especially during the teaching of God’s Word, we ask that you remain seated so not to be a distraction to others. Should you need to move the Ushers on your return will direct you to a seat at the rear of the sanctuary.

What’s on this week?
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour!
We’re so glad you’ve joined us today.
This Morning: We continue our journey through the book of Revelation, chapter 6.
Tonight: We continue our nourishing series on the Holy Spirit—don’t miss it!
Stay Connected:
To keep up with all our current teachings, join us via livestream, YouTube, or find our sermons now available on Spotify.
As we teach the Bible book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse, each message builds on the one before it. Missing even one can affect your understanding of the full context—so stay connected!
CCSH Youth Winter Hoodies:
We are currently looking for a reasonably priced screen printer for our CCSH Youth winter hoodies. If you know someone we could request a quote from, please see Noah Carmody. Thank you!
Join the Servant Team:
Have you joined our servant team here at CCSH? Fill in a Connection Card with your details and place it in the offering container—we’d love to connect with you.
Need Prayer?
Our pastors and elders are available to pray with you after each service at the front of the sanctuary.
Israel Tour – January 2027:
We continue to monitor the situation in Israel and Gaza. Lord willing, we are still planning to travel to Israel in January 2027 to walk in the footsteps of Jesus.
Please keep this trip in prayer and begin saving now!
Church Building Extensions – Pray With Us:
We ask you to pray for the approval of our church building extension plans submitted to the City of Rockingham. Our desire is to proceed with the current design to minimise costs and, most importantly, to provide a secure and safe layout for our children and church family—protecting all from any potential intrusions.

Helen’s Heart
“Talk it out” – the psychologists say, but really it depends
On who we talk to. When John the Baptist was cruelly beheaded, his disciples were distraught until they met Jesus on the banks of the Jordan and followed Him – John 1:35 – 42) They had heard John the Baptist declare who Jesus is, “The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world” (John 1:29) They were thus assured of a sympathetic listener in Jesus. We too can go and tell Jesus when we are hurting and we too are assured of an intercessor, who understands the nuances of our concerns. Peter knew too when he said, “Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” We are never too far for Jesus’ listening ear and understanding heart. ….. “ the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.” – Proverbs 19:21

Grace Giving
2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities. Account name – Calvary Chapel Church Secret Harbour Incorporated – Account – 10891970 – BSB – 066-516.

From the Pastor’s Pen
A man was preaching on a street corner when an atheist came up and said to him, “You don’t really believe the Bible, do you?” “Yes, I believe the Bible,” the preacher said. The atheist mocked him and kept insisting the Bible was not true. “Do you really believe that Jonah was swallowed by a big fish?” He demanded. “Yes,” the preacher replied, “I believe that.” “How can you possibly believe that?” The atheist asked. “I will find out when I get to heaven,” answered the preacher. “I will ask him.” “And how do you know you will get to heaven?” The atheist prodded. “Well, if I don’t see him in heaven,” the preacher said, “You can ask him because right now you are going to hell.” Do you know that Jesus preached on Hell than He did on heaven? Why, because hell is a real place and God is doing all He can to keep each one of us from going there.

Quotes of the week
“When asked, ‘What is more important: Prayer or Reading the Bible?’ I ask, ‘What is more important: Breathing in or Breathing out?’” — Charles Spurgeon

“Do not expect everything in life to be good. It will not happen. Do not expect everything in yourself to be good. That will not happen, either. But what you can expect is this: God will weave everything together for His own beloved children to produce a good result, both in time and for all eternity. To die as a Christian is not to leave home; it is to go home. Safe in the Arms of God”
“God punished Jesus for my sin and treats me as if I lived His life.”
“You’re not talking about the gospel unless you talk about sin, repentance, and Jesus Christ dying, rising again, and faith in Him.” -John MacArthur
