Daily devotion – Dark clouds of judgment are forming.
Genesis 12: 1 Now the LORD had said to Abram:
“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.
2
I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
It is time to gather again for prayer as I write this devotion Wednesday morning. Our parliament has just returned back to work and what does it focus on? Slamming the people of Israel and speaking falsities about what has and is happening in Gaza. Our Foreign Minister, has led the Hamas cheer squad with our weak PM shuffling behind.
Thank goodness we can turn to God’s Word again at times like these when we get so disheartened by our political leaders who are now actively positioning themselves against the Word of God and the nation of Israel. Yet as we take a step back on both our Foreign Minister and PM and their individual lives, we see clear evidence of immorality and ungodliness. Thus their rhetoric!
Australia as a nation voted blindly once again for such leadership in government and it just echoes our Lord’s Words – “Matthew 15: 10 When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: 11 Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”
12 Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”
13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. 14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”
We have a choice, we can say “Tutt Tutt,” to what the government is saying, and do nothing more! Or we can gather as Christ’s Church, pray and call on the power of Almighty God to intervene on behalf of the people and nation of Australia. God will look after Israel, the Bible tells us that!
But for us as a nation we are drifting closer and closer each day to judgment due to our governments stance on Israel.
“Zechariah 12:9 9 It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.”
Will you pray or will you simply carry on as people will do even after the Rapture has occurred – “Luke 17: 26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.”
Jesus said in these Last Days we are to “Watch and Pray!”
