What’s on this week
Church Bulletin – Online Only – This week’s bulletin will only be available online as we move away from a printed edition completely. We encourage you to use the QR code located at the Information Desk to have the bulletin sent directly to your media device, ensuring you stay up to date with what’s happening and what’s planned for the future. You can also connect your phone by scanning the QR code displayed on the pre-service slides.
Building Extensions – Thank you for your continued prayers for our planned building extensions—these will include additional classrooms, a youth room, storage, and toilet facilities. On Thursday afternoon, we met with a Rockingham City Council representative, and we believe he was quite supportive of our initial plans after discussing security matters and the extra costs that would result from changes to our original drawings. Please keep praying for God’s favour so we may receive approval and begin construction soon. Calvary Youth & Calvary Kids – Every second Friday, Calvary Youth and Calvary Kids meet here at the chapel. Would you prayerfully consider serving as a rostered helper, assistant, or security volunteer for one of these groups? Please see Pastor Nathanael with your details.Calvary Youth Hoodies – Calvary Youth have just ordered new hoodies with a fresh design. A few extras have been ordered—priced at $40 each—and are available on a first come, first served basis. See Noah Carmody for more information.
Helen’s Heart
Martha was distracted with much service v40 – when she approached the Lord demanding He tell Mary to help her..How often we can identify with Martha, so caught up in ‘busy-ness’. As with Martha we can worry and scurry about and miss what is important. Luke 10:38-42, shows us the perils of ‘busy-ness’. Martha was so busy doing that she overlooked the fact that God in the flesh, was with her. She was so self-absorbed, that she missed the opportunity of sitting and listening to the Master Whom she loved and served. Mary, her sister, seized the precious moment and was commended by Jesus, She has chosen the good part – verse 42. Oh dear one, do not miss the good part today, are you sitting at His feet absorbing all that He wants to speak to you about? One thing is needed O my Lord….Next Tuesdays Calvary Women’s Bible study – 26th August!

From the Pastor’s Pen
Helen and I will be away for one Sunday as we attend a Calvary Chapel Pastor’s Conference. During that time, we hope to connect with several Calvary Chapel pastors who, Lord willing, may visit and speak with us over the coming months and into next year. We also look forward to returning refreshed, bringing news of what God is doing in Calvary Chapels around the world—especially as we know Christ’s return for His Church is soon. In recent months, I have felt a deep and growing burden for the things of the Lord and for our nation, Australia. In a small way, I can begin to understand the heart of the Apostle Paul—how he carried the weight of love and concern for the churches birthed after Christ’s ascension. At times this burden feels almost too heavy to bear, and I understand Paul’s words “For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.”—Philippians 1:23–24 This is why fellowship is so vital in these Last Days as we wait earnestly for the Rapture of the Church. We can share our burdens, pray for one another, and encourage one another to stand strong in a world that grows darker by the day. We all, at times, feel the tension of living in a fallen world while longing for the glory to come with our Lord. But until that day, God calls us to stand together in His strength. So set healthy habits in gathering with the body of Christ. Be present at every opportunity—whenever the church doors are open. This blessing of consistent fellowship has been a pillar for Helen and me since the day we were adopted into God’s family. It has kept our passion for the Lord alive, day by day, and we pray it will do the same for you.
Wednesday Evening Discipleship Night
📖 Wednesday Evening Prayer & Bible Study
Each Wednesday at 7:00pm sharp, the church gathers here at the chapel to: Study God’s Word, Pray and intercede for: Our nation, Australia 🇦🇺 Our church family, Needs and requests requiring prayer. This is the engine room of our church—the place where we seek God’s leading and His power to do His will here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour.
⏳ We are living in the Last Days, and time is short. Let us use these opportunities to pray while we still can.
👨👩👧 Parents: If you have children, take turns so each of you can be part of this vital ministry.
🙏 We pray you will join us each Wednesday night for this most important service.
Quote of the Week
I think the greatest weakness in the church today is that almost no one believes that God invests His power in the Bible. Everyone is looking for power in a program, in a technique, in anything and everything except where God has placed it: His Word. – RC Sproul
Calvary Chapel Nasinu
Pastor Charles has sent a two page report plus photos from Calvary Chapel Nasinu in Fiji. Pastor Israel will be sharing much of this information next Wednesday evening at our Discipleship night and prayer time.
