Don’t Lose Heart
Twice in 2 Corinthians 4 Paul declares, “We do not lose heart.” It’s a needed reminder because ministry and life are full of reasons to quit. Paul faced rejection, suffering, and relentless opposition — yet he pressed on. Why? Because the message of Christ is worth it.
Paul refused to water down the gospel to make it more palatable. He didn’t rely on gimmicks or clever tricks to win people over. He simply preached Christ, confident in the power of the gospel. Even when people didn’t respond, Paul kept going because he knew the problem wasn’t the message — it was spiritual blindness.
And when suffering struck, Paul still didn’t lose heart. Beaten, persecuted, and pressed down, he saw every hardship as an opportunity for God’s strength to shine through his weakness. His trials were not wasted; they were producing eternal glory and bringing life to others.
For us today, the challenge is the same. In a culture quick to give up or compromise truth, we must hold firm. When people don’t respond, keep sharing Jesus. When trials come, don’t despair, for God is at work.
The call is simple but profound: don’t lose heart. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the treasure within, and trust that He is using even your struggles for His glory and others’ good.
