Daily devotion – The empty tomb of Christ screams messages of truth to an unbelieving world!
Luke 24:1–7
The women came early in the morning, burdened with grief and expectation of death, but what they found was life. The stone was rolled away, the body of Jesus was not there, and angels declared the glorious truth: “He is not here, but is risen!”
The empty tomb is not simply a historical curiosity—it is the heartbeat of our faith. It spoke then, and it speaks now:
To the world of science and philosophy, it demands: “Explain this event!” For all human wisdom cannot deny or undo what God has done.
To the record of history, it cries: “Repeat this event!” Yet never again has anyone conquered death as Christ has.
To the march of time, it commands: “Blot out this event!” Yet time itself is divided by it—B.C. and A.D. testify to its power.
To the hearts of faith, it pleads: “Believe this event!” For without the resurrection, faith is empty—but with it, faith is alive.
The empty tomb changes everything. It assures us that Jesus is who He said He is: the Son of God, the Savior of the world. It means sin is paid for, death is defeated, and eternity is secure.
The question remains: What have you done with the fact of Christ’s resurrection? Is it a truth you merely know, or is it a truth you live? The same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to you today—to forgive, to strengthen, to renew, and to give hope beyond the grave.
Let us bow in awe and rise in faith, for the tomb is empty and our Redeemer lives.
