What’s on this week
Calvary Young Adults:
This coming Saturday night, the Calvary Young Adults will be meeting at Pastor Marlon and Hannah’s residence. Please see them for further information.
Ministries Resuming:
Calvary Youth and Calvary Kids both recommence this coming week as school returns.
Next Sunday:
We have a special surprise for everyone—but you’ll need to be here to discover just what it is!
Guest Speaker – November:
We are blessed to welcome Pastor James Stretchberry from the American European Bethel Mission (AEBM) in mid-November. He will be sharing the latest news and updates from the streets of Jerusalem.
Prayer Gatherings:
Join us for prayer each Wednesday evening and before Sunday morning services. We treasure these times to seek the Lord together as His people.
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,
that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” — Romans 15:13
Christmas Countdown:
As of today, there are only 76 days until Christmas! As we prepare to remember Jesus’ first coming as a child in Bethlehem, let us also be ready for His soon coming for us, His Church.

Grace Giving
2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. From the Pastor’s Pen
Our eyes are once again fixed on Israel as we witness the first steps of a peace deal being signed and unfolding. Of the 49 hostages still not returned by Hamas, it is now believed, sadly, that only about 20 may still be alive. This is cruelty and evil at its highest form.
Yet, across our streets, people are championing Hamas and shouting “Allah Akbar” at Sydney airport as protestors return from the so-called Gaza Flotilla. But glory be to the one true God — the God of Israel — for His plans are still unfolding, leading up to the Rapture of His Church and the beginning of the Great Tribulation, the seven-year period spoken of by Daniel and detailed in the book of Revelation.
We can now understand more clearly how, during that Tribulation period, people will refuse to repent and instead blaspheme God for His righteous judgments. Even today, on our streets and in our news broadcasts, we see the faces of those whose hatred for God burns with fervour and vileness.
The ongoing pro-Palestinian protests are a vivid preview of a world preparing itself — a world that has rejected Christ and will soon welcome the Antichrist, who will be the very personification of the Devil himself.
Jesus said in John 5:43, “I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.”
Let us, therefore, gather this week in prayer, fulfilling God’s will by continuing to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Quote of the Week
“WHEN I THINK I’M UNFAIRLY HATED, I TRY TO REMEMBER THAT I’M UNFAIRLY LOVED.” – R.C. SPROUL

Helen’s heart
The next Calvary Women’s Bible study is on the 21st of October, Tuesday here at the chapel starting at 9:30am.
When I am weak then I am strong – 2 Cor 12:10
When the Apostle Paul battled physical weakness and opposition to his ministry he looked to God for strength. In our difficult times it is good to commit our weakness, our difficulty, our illness and allow God to work in our lives. Cast your burden on the Lord and He shall sustain them – Psalm 55:22

Calvary Chapel Nasinu Fiji – latest news

We are having an Island Outreach, and in December – 3 day Youth Camp. At our last August camp we baptised 4 young people – praise the Lord – thank you for praying!”
