Daily devotion – There are still souls hungry to know God!
Revelation 22:11 – “He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”
(NLT: Let the one who is doing harm continue to do harm; let the one who is vile continue to be vile; let the one who is righteous continue to live righteously; let the one who is holy continue to be holy.)
Daniel was told that his prophecies would be “sealed until the time of the end” (Daniel 12:9).
But John, in the book of Revelation, was told not to seal up the words of the prophecy, for the time was near.
Our opening verse has puzzled many, but it does not condone evil. Rather, it declares that those who will not heed God’s prophetic Word will continue in their wickedness, while those who believe will continue to live in righteousness.
Even today, we see this truth unfold before our eyes. Despite the first step of a peace plan being signed by Israel, pro-Palestinian protests continued throughout the day. Humanity remains divided — some harden their hearts, suppressing the truth of God.
As Paul wrote in Romans 1:18:
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.”
To live in opposition to God is more than foolishness; it is moral corruption — a willful choice to remain filthy before the Holy God. Yet, through His Word, God continues to reveal both the depth of human depravity and the wonder of His mercy and grace.
How amazing that even now, forgiveness and salvation are still being offered to all who will receive them!
Let us not be consumed by those who choose to remain unjust or vile. Instead, let us pray and seek the lost — those whose hearts are searching for truth, longing for hope, and ready to hear the gospel.
Our enemy, Satan, would have us believe that all are beyond redemption. But you and I are living proof that God still saves!
Each day, may we lift our eyes to Christ and be attentive to those He places before us — souls whom He is calling, who need to be rescued and redeemed by His love.
