Prayer for our Nation!
Once our service has begun, and especially during the teaching of God’s Word, we kindly ask that everyone remain seated so as not to distract others who are listening. If you do need to step out, our Ushers will lovingly guide you to a seat at the rear of the sanctuary or in the foyer overflow when you return. We do this out of love and reverence for the Lord and His Word, desiring that His message be received with undivided hearts.

Why Study Bible Prophecy?
James 5:8 — “You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.”
The Word of God gives remarkable attention to the subject of the Lord’s return. The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is mentioned 1,845 times in the Bible, with 318 of those references in the New Testament. It is the central theme of 17 Old Testament books and one New Testament letter, and astonishingly, seven out of every ten chapters in the New Testament speak of His return. Clearly, this is not a minor topic—it is one of the great themes of Scripture that God desires His people to understand.
So why study Bible prophecy? First, because it anchors our hearts in hope. James exhorts believers to “be patient” and to “establish your hearts,” reminding us that “the coming of the Lord is at hand.” In times of difficulty and uncertainty, prophecy reminds us that God is in control of history. The world is not drifting aimlessly; it is moving toward the glorious day when Christ will return to reign in righteousness.
Second, prophecy purifies our lives. The apostle John wrote, “Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure” (1 John 3:3). When we live with the awareness that Jesus could return at any moment, it shapes the way we think, speak, and act. It keeps our priorities eternal rather than temporary.
Third, prophecy stirs our passion for evangelism. Knowing that the Lord is coming soon compels us to share the gospel urgently with those who do not yet know Him. We are not called to sit and speculate, but to serve and shine as lights in a dark world.
In short, studying Bible prophecy is not about satisfying curiosity—it is about producing character. It strengthens faith, builds endurance, and keeps our hearts watchful and expectant. Lord Jesus, thank You for the sure promise of Your return. Help us to live each day with our hearts established in Your truth, our lives purified by Your Spirit, and our eyes lifted toward the blessed hope of Your coming. Amen.

Helen’s heart
Study to be quiet – 1 Thess 4:11 The world rushes around frantically and disturbed while the child of God quietly steps aside and watches God work. A quiet spirit speaks confidence and humility knowing our resource is totally the Lord. Andrew Murray says… “It is to have a blessed home in the Lord, where I can go in and out and shut the door, and kneel to my Father in secret, at peace …when all around is trouble.” Job in the midst of all his losses learned to say, He giveth quietness.. We too can be as contented amid sunshine or storm as quiet. “A soul quiet enough hears God speak!” See you ladies on Tuesday as we open the book of Romans together!
Wednesday Discipleship night We invite you to be part of something special as a vital member of CCSH – join us for Bible study and then for corporate prayer with the Body of Christ each Wed at 7:00Pm at the chapel!
