Prayer for our Nation!
Once our service has begun, and especially during the teaching of God’s Word, we kindly ask that everyone remain seated so as not to distract others who are listening. If you do need to step out, our Ushers will lovingly guide you to a seat at the rear of the sanctuary or in the foyer overflow when you return.
We do this out of love and reverence for the Lord and His Word, desiring that His message be received with undivided hearts.

From the Pastor’s Pen
Here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour, we take the study of the Bible seriously—and we take God’s Word literally.
We have taught through the first book of the Bible, chapter by chapter and verse by verse, many times. It cannot be overstated: one’s understanding and study of Genesis is like charting a course to reach a planned destination. If a navigator on a ship or aircraft plots his course and is even one degree off, he will never reach the intended destination—in fact, he will end up lost. In the same way, a lack of understanding, reading, and studying the book of Genesis lies at the heart of why the modern Church has become woke and confused. Genesis is the foundation book of the Bible—this is why it is often called the book of beginnings. If Genesis were not in the Bible, the rest of Scripture would be incomprehensible. It would be like a building without a ground floor or a bridge with no support.
It is in the book of Genesis that we first see God’s plan for His people, the nation of Israel, and the prophecy of the coming of Jesus Christ the Messiah, God’s Son, born of a virgin.
I urge you to begin reading the book of Genesis—individually and as a family—if you have not done so. Then you can be confident that your life is being charted in the right direction. Genesis 1:1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Quote of the Week
“No one ever came to Christ because they knew themselves to be of the elect. It is quite true that God has of his mere good pleasure elected some to everlasting life, but they never knew it until they came to Christ. Christ nowhere invites the elect to come to Him. The question for you is not, Am I one of the elect? But, Am I one of the human race?” –
“You will be incomplete Christians if you do not look for the coming again of the Lord Jesus” – Robert Murray McCheyne – 1813 – 1843.

Then I was at His side I was filled with delight day after day rejoicing always in His presence rejoicing in His whole world and delighting in mankind – Prov 8:30-31. Wisdom: we all want to make wise decisions and sound judgment. True wisdom though brings us inner richness and divine favour, that is according to Proverbs 8:19. Our aim should not be in seeking success but discerning and forming the right relationships. The pinnacle of wisdom is to love God for who He is and to value human beings as those who reflect the image of their Maker. Just as God delighted in the world He made and in us, may you rejoice in His beauty this week.
