Daily Devotion – His ear is listening for you!
Playing Your Part
Sir Michael Costa, the celebrated conductor, was once rehearsing a full orchestra. As the music swelled and every section played at full force, the piccolo player quietly stopped, assuming that his small instrument would not be missed amid such a powerful sound.
Suddenly, the great conductor brought the orchestra to a halt and called out,
“Where is the piccolo?”
That single, seemingly insignificant instrument was essential to the harmony—and the conductor’s trained ear had noticed its absence immediately.
As we step into the New Year 2026, the body of Christ—the Lord’s orchestra, commissioned to channel His power, His will, and His light into the world—will be required to play at full strength in an ever-darkening and increasingly evil age.
Scripture teaches us that each believer has been given a gift, entrusted to us by God, for our part in this final movement of the Church before Christ calls His bride home.
Your part matters.
Your involvement is critical.
The Lord is listening for you to play your part—to complete and complement His body and His work here on earth. His ear is finely tuned. My prayer is that He hears you offering your most faithful, dedicated, and wholehearted performance for His glory.
