Calvary Ladies, this Tuesday your special time of Bible study and fellowship will be held at 9:30am here at the chapel as you continue studying the wonderful Book of Ruth.
Those involved in the upcoming baptism service are reminded that you need to attend at least one of the two teaching classes prior to your baptism. Please see Pastor Israel for further information.
As Easter is rapidly approaching, in previous years we have provided invitation cards for you to hand out. This year we will rely on our own passion to reach our lost loved ones. Please utilise your SMS, email, or better still, personally invite family and friends to be part of the Easter outreach here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour. Be sure to lay the foundation in prayer first, and let us believe God to draw many hearts to salvation this Easter.
Please continue to pray for our building extension as we draw closer to breaking ground and seeing this come to fruition for the glory of God. 🙏

From the Pastor’s Pen
Gathering once again with the Calvary Youth last Friday, I spoke with them concerning the current war in the Middle East and God’s overall outline for the Last Days in Bible prophecy. Many thoughtful questions came from the young people, especially about the Rapture and the coming seven-year Tribulation.
Questions such as: “Can a person still be saved after receiving the mark of the Beast?” “Why will people follow the coming world leader, the Antichrist?” “Do we need to be fearful now?” At the heart of many of their questions was uncertainty about salvation and a lack of understanding about what the Bible says regarding those who will live during the Tribulation. Will people still have the opportunity to come to Christ? The Bible shows that many will turn to the Lord during that terrible period, but often at great cost—even martyrdom. Parents, we must ensure that our children are not ignorant of God’s Word. Too many people today live their lives on short Bible devotions alone—a brief thought for the day. Yet many are not seriously reading the Scriptures for themselves. Devotions are helpful, but they are like a snack between meals. They were never meant to replace the nourishment of God’s Word itself. Jesus did not say that man shall live by devotions. He said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”
The Bible warns us clearly in Hosea 4:6: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge.” Each week here at Calvary, the Lord has provided many opportunities for believers to grow and mature in their understanding of the Scriptures. Currently we are studying the Book of Acts, the Gospel of Matthew, the Book of Ruth, the Book of Romans, and the Book of Genesis. Let us use our time wisely. The days are serious, and the world around us is increasingly uncertain. But believers who are grounded in God’s Word do not need to live in fear. Instead, we can live with confidence, discernment, and hope as we grow in the knowledge of our Lord. Make the Word of God your daily bread. 📖✨

Helen’s heart
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” These distressing times can easily weigh heavily upon our hearts. As we watch the terrible atrocities unfolding in the Middle East, it is natural to feel overwhelmed and grieved. Yet perhaps “down” is exactly where we need to be — not in despair, but down on our knees before the Lord in prayer. God’s call to His people has always been clear. When His people humble themselves, seek His face, and turn their hearts fully toward Him, He promises to hear from heaven. In times when the world seems uncertain and beyond our control, prayer reminds us that our hope is not in governments, armies, or human solutions, but in the omniscient and omnipotent God who rules over all. The Lord is able to do “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.” Nothing that troubles this world is beyond His power or His purposes. Our responsibility is to seek Him faithfully, to intercede for those suffering, and to trust His sovereign hand even in the darkest of days.
Let us continue to pray for this troubled region, for the innocent who are suffering, and for God’s mercy to prevail. And in all things, may we give God the glory, knowing that He alone is our refuge and hope. 🙏📖
