God’s Perfect Timing

Ecclesiastes 3:11
“He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”

How often do we stumble in our faith when we don’t see immediate results—especially after sharing the Gospel or praying earnestly for someone?

The book of Ecclesiastes reminds us that God has His perfect timing in all things. His work is not random, rushed, or delayed—it is precise and purposeful.

Consider the Apostle Paul. When he desired to preach the Word in Asia (modern-day Turkey), the Lord prevented him:

Acts 16:6
“Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia…”

Ephesus would come later—but not yet. God’s “no” in that moment was really a “not now.”

We see this same truth in Habakkuk. The prophet struggled as he looked around and felt that God was doing nothing for His people. Yet God’s response pointed him back to divine timing:

Habakkuk 1:5
“Look among the nations, and watch—Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you.”

God was working—just not in a way or at a pace that Habakkuk could perceive.

When we share God’s Word, we must remember His promise:

Isaiah 55:11
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

His Word never fails. It always accomplishes His purpose—even when we cannot see the immediate fruit.

And His Word is powerful beyond what we can comprehend:

Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword… and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

So let us live by faith—not by sight. God is always working, even in the unseen moments. Let us continue to pray, to share, and to trust—believing that His answer is coming.

In His time, everything will be made beautiful.

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
