Welcome to Calvary Chapel
WHATS HAPPENING?
Welcome to our Easter Sunday service here at CCSH! A special welcome to those visiting the chapel for the first time—we’re glad you’re here to celebrate this Resurrection Sunday with us.
This morning we will be celebrating Holy Communion, with Pastor Marlon leading us in this sacred and meaningful time together.
A quick reminder that, as we gathered last Good Friday evening, there will be no evening service tonight. However, our Wednesday teaching and prayer night will continue as usual this week. We warmly invite you to join us here at the chapel at 7:00pm, as the church gathers for our most important ministry—intercessory prayer.
With the ongoing war in Iran impacting many aspects of life here in Australia, some may be feeling anxious or uncertain about the future. If you are struggling with rising rent, increasing grocery costs, fuel prices, or concerns about your work situation, please know you are not alone. Our pastors will be available after this morning’s message to pray with you, as together we look to our Lord and His faithfulness to care for us. If you have invited someone to join you today who would like to receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour, we would love to support them in this important step of faith. We have a helpful booklet available that explains what it means to follow Christ and what to do next. Please see one of the pastors after the service, together with your guest, to receive a free copy.

From the Pastor’s Pen
“What Does It Mean for You?” There are many religions in the world, but Christianity alone proclaims the true God who stepped into His own creation and died for His followers. There is no one like Him. As the Lord declares in Isaiah 40:25, “To whom then will you liken Me, or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One. Across our nation here in Australia, many live as though God does not exist, yet at funerals, Heaven is often spoken of as though it were the automatic destination of every soul. But if Heaven were guaranteed for all, there would have been no need for a Saviour… no need for the Cross… no need for the Resurrection. Yet the truth stands firm: Jesus Christ did die upon the Cross of Calvary. He bore the sin of the world, and on the third day He rose again. This was not done in secret—He was seen by more than 500 witnesses over 40 days. The Resurrection is not merely a story; it is the cornerstone of our faith and the dividing line of eternity. Easter confronts every one of us with a question that cannot be avoided: What does it mean for you? There are only two outcomes—Heaven or Hell. That may sound confronting, but it is the reality spoken of throughout Scripture. God, in His love and holiness, has done everything necessary to make a way for you to be saved. Jesus left Heaven, lived a sinless life, died a sacrificial death, and rose in victory so that you might have eternal life. But a gift must be received. Truth has been revealed. The facts have been declared. The work has been finished. Jesus said that the truth will set you free—but it is not enough to simply hear the truth; it must be believed. This Easter 2026, do not settle for assumptions, traditions, or second-hand faith. Consider Christ personally. Come to Him honestly. Place your trust fully in Him. Because in the end, Easter is not just about what happened… It is about what you will do with what happened.
Helen’s heart
Be still my daughter -Ruth 3:18 – Throughout the book of Ruth, God speaks to her heart, not to fear. God will bless her and deal kindly with her. These words of comfort gave Ruth peace and established her. When I struggle or am anxious I do well to be ‘still’ and rest in Jesus comfort. If you are unsettled, worried, these words can be just as encouraging: because you are a daughter of the heavenly Father.
