The Power of the King on Display

Pastor Israel Carmody   -

(Matthew 4:23-25)

Jesus’ early ministry followed a clear pattern: He taught in the synagogues, preached the gospel of the kingdom, and healed every disease and affliction among the people.

He taught to form minds with truth, opening the Scriptures and showing how they all pointed to Him. He preached to confront hearts, announcing the good news that the King had come and calling for repentance and faith. Then He demonstrated His authority by healing every kind of sickness — physical, mental, and spiritual.

These miracles weren’t the main point; they were powerful signs. They revealed His compassion, His lordship over body and soul, and a preview of the coming kingdom where there will be no more sickness or sorrow.

The response was overwhelming. Multitudes from everywhere brought the sick and tormented to Him, and great crowds began to follow.

The King still works in this same pattern today. His Word is taught to shape how we think. The gospel is preached, calling us to respond. And His power is displayed — not always through dramatic physical healing, but always through transformed lives, freed from sin, and filled with His Spirit.

Whatever is broken in your life — sin, struggle, weakness, sickness of soul — bring it to Jesus. He has the authority to restore.

The King who began His ministry with teaching, preaching, and power is still at work with the same authority. Will you come to Him? Will you follow?

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your teaching that shapes me, Your gospel that saves me, and Your power that heals and transforms. I bring every part of my life to You today. Work in me as only You can. Amen.
